Hi guys...
I'm very confused here...i don't know What motherboard [p35] I buy?
I can pay in the max...the value of p5k premium...more than this...no :(
i wan't to put my cpu on 450fsb...
What motherboard can do that easily?
I was thinking of buying the p5k premium, but i see others... i liked this mobo..its good?
what it's better?

http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=proddesc&prod_no=1212&maincat_no=1&cat2_no=170

so guys..You could help me choose a motherboard that fits the profile that I mentioned?
THANKS!

Is it fine? Yes it is fine. More then good enough for low overclocks with duals or quads, i mean speeds below 4,0/4,2ghz.
Don't buy the platinum, buy the Neo2-FR.
If you want something more interesting then take a DFI p35. P5k-vanilla is also interesting, mostly because all of the available voltmods, 6 mods i believe?

I prefer p5k premium than P5k-vanilla...
the point is...i want to put 450max fsb...
don't matter...
so finally, i gonna buy p5k premim, i think..
the black pearl edition is much better than the normal p5k premium?
this mobo it's good with the new cpu's? (E8400, q9450) etc..??
THANKS A LOT!

450fsb is nothing, every p35 board can do that.

I'm doing this question , because my mobo dont' pass 400fsb with northbridge voltage stock..
So I want to make sure!
hum...and the p5k premium motherboard supports higher fsb with high frequency of Memory and the fsb:ram diferent of 1:1?
in this over ( assinature) if i set 2:3 or any Proportion diferent 1:1, the over fail...

if you have a 975x board, its not going to do much over 400 at stock

And the p5k premium go 450fsb on stock?? :D

Define stock plz, you mean AUTO ? AUTO is programmed via the bios engineers and can sometimes be pretty high voltages for average FSB settings...

I'm talking about 450fsb witch the stock voltage of the northbridge.
Example: Over in a q6600 with the stock voltage of cpu...
I want a mobo that can reach 450fsb with stock voltage in northbridge... :D
Sorry for questions :(

Read this ( sadly for you it's for a P45 board :p )

In the end, we were able to increase the FSB to 500MHz and memory to almost 1.2GHz with stock cooling and only a couple of minor tweaks. Anything higher than 500MHz and the system wasn't stable with the stock chipset, FSB, and PLL voltages

So you're advising me to expect the mobos p45?
Earlier this motherboard will be very expensive and I must sell my motherboard soon because it will devalue very fast here looking forwards..
I do not know what I do. When These new mobos will be released?

Not likely to find a board that will do 450FSB on stock NB volts. It's not realistic to expect a board to go that far over stock on auto volts. Not sure why you need a motherboard that will do that. Plenty of us out there cranking the volts to our NB and they are still going strong.

+1 for Grips and ya P5W is already devaluated... P45 release is end of June... if you cannot wait get a P35 mobo...

I don't like to set a diferent value of the stock voltage of north, pll..i don't know, setting a diferent voltage of north, may cause a higher temperatures??
i don't understand what you say Leeghoofd, sorry

I like my Abit IP35 pro. Easy to OC plus the slot BIOS is nice

You need to increase NB voltage to get 450 FSB. There really isn't any way around it. If you want a decent overclock you HAVE to tweak volts here and there. A well ventilated case along with a small fan mounted on the NB heatsink is normally good enough to keep it cool.

If you are set on finding a motherboard that will do 450 FSB on stock the best of luck to you.... I don't think it exists.

It seems to me that its the quad cores that require a bump in voltages other than vcore and vdim to run 450+.

I have no problem running 24/7 @ 467 with my 8400 with only mem and cpu voltages over stock settings on my LT P35 and for running benchmarks like 3D mark I have run as high as 475 with all stock except cpu and mem.

Since it appears the OP has a dual core I would guess most P35s would be able to do 450+ with only cpu and mem voltage tweaks.

Be carefull by mentioning stock or AUTO voltages... auto voltages are calculated by the bios; so eg 333FSB is 1.2 going up to 400 can be 1.3V,etc... 450 even 1.4, is it required ? not always... one board that really went up high in voltages was the Commando...

For me stock voltages are the lowest possible available in the bios ( eg this counts for all my Asus boards ) Eg My foxconn Mars needed way more NB voltage than my P5K to run at same FSB speeds... 1.2 vs 1.35 NB voltage... yet both are P35 based mobo's...

In case ya run 4gigs it's wise to give the NB some extra voltages... it won't hurt it as long as you give decent cooling...

For the OP : if you need a mobo right now, so you can still sell that P5W for some decent cash : go P35
If you can wait till end of June : P45 mobo's will be available, P35 will be sold at a lesser price...but ya P5W will be worth even less...

One guy offered R$320,00 in my p5w...
i'm thinking to sell now...
I buy a p35, and depending on the price of p45, I can sell the motherboard that I buy now and buy a p45.......
p5k premium? :D:D:D:D:D

Don't know how much that is in dollars or euros but if it's a fair price mate sell it now... don't hesitate...

Good luck with ya new build, keep us posted what ya decide...

I was reading a reviews in the newegg, and a lot of people wrote that the motherboard is very bad for a few reasons...much people complain the sata position, and the ez raid, stability oc and other things...hahahahaha
so, what is your opinion about this complain's guys?? :p:

+1

I have the DFI LT P35-T2R and am very happy with it. That said, I have to use 1.37 V on the NB to stabilize my 2x2 gig DIMMS @ 1,000 MHz with a 400 MHz FSB. 450 MHz (assuming a linear scaler) would require at least 1.55 V on the NB. Again, there's no way around this. That said, you can run 1.55 V on the NB assuming you have aftermarket active (fan) cooling such as the HR05 or whatever.

Plz read real reviews on hardware sites, not Newegg, most reviews are so crap or just based on things they heard.... P5K Premium has it's issues with Samsung and WD harddrives, for the rest a top notch mobo...

Other good mobo's :

DFI DRK P35, Abit IP35-Pro, Gigabyte DS4 rev2,...
