Last month i bought 4gb of crucial ballistix...and problems started to come...i always leave the pc online and i started to find it restarted or with some stupid blue screen..

The thing is that when i check the ram with PC Check and Memtest the ram doesnt fail..

What im noticing also is that my VGA is running extrmly hot.. cant touch it too damn hot.. even though im not gaming..

right now i am using windows xp.. but i had vista ultimate 64bit.. and after several bluescreen (thought it was from the OS) i changed to xp never had a problem with it.. but xp also is crashing..

Bluescreens on vista were with the following errors... page fault in non paged area and irq not less or equal..

any help?

thanks

Just wondering, are those ballistix's memory single sided?

check the batch #... if it's 97432, send them back.

yeah, I'd either trash them or rma them.

I also fell victim to the NE rebate recently on these, $25 and free shipping. shoulda known something was fishy. they're selling off crappy inventory left of those single sided chips. mine lasted about 4 weeks before they started throwing out checksum and file io errors.. that's the trend with this batch, work for a couple weeks then degrade and poop out..

I still have mine in my desk.. I didn't want to rma them quite yet. I've seen reports where users are rmaing these things over and over and getting the same back from crucial... so I'm gonna wait til later this summer before rmaing them and hopefully get a better set.

I put some gskils in to replace them..

:mad::mad: i formatted the pc like 7 8 times .. and i have been taking out devices from my pc for like 2 weeks now.. took out sound card and evrything... but i knew that finally will be the ram thats wrong... holy sh...

Dissapointed ... never thought this would happen from crucial..

On vista they work fine for like 5 days .. then.. BSOD's .. one after the other...

Anyway .. thanks for the help guys... :)

I've heard mushkin is good.. never used them though...

Guess I'm a gskil guy.. didn't really mean for it to happen, but ended up that way.
I like gskil's pc 8000 2x2 kits... good deal for $85... I paid $125 in oct.
