How do you tell if a 36g Raptor is 8mb or 16mb?

By looking at the modelname - for example WD360GD. The ADFD version has the 16 mb, GD is 8 I believe.
If you have the modelname, just look up some tech spec sheet ;)

can u see model number? if it says 360GD its 8mb, it its ADFD (iirc) its 16mb

Thanks for replies. Where on a tech sheet does it tell you, or does it. Or is it just these 2 model numbers? I have both.

One of each!:) But have 2x ADFD coming from RMA.

right click My Computer>Properties>Hardware>Device Manager, disk drives - it'll give u model numbers there

I want to try 4x in raid0. Thats why I am asking about the 8 or 16. Just found it on the WD Tech sheet, did not scroll down far enough. Thanks again.
