Hey All,

I picked up this set at Frys today: PDC22G8500ELK. I read reviews and the 5-5-5-9 version contains D9GKX, but I know that was back in the day. The new kit has 5-5-5-15 timings, so anyone have any idea what it is? I can't test it until tomorrow, but I am dying to know! Another review said D9GCT, which is even older. It is rated for 2.3v stock, so it has to be some kind of Micron, right? What else can run 2.3v reliably? Please help :)

qimonda, the same chips used on all the high speed ram's atm. You want decent d9.... buy cellschock.
corsair xms, ocz flex/reaper, gskill ..... all the high end parts are using crappy qimonda that wont even oc a bit.
tested them my self
2.5v results in no boot.
620 mhz is max with 5-5-5-18 ( so 650 or so is nearly impossible with these thing because they handle voltage terrible )
cl5 only, they cant run cl4 on any decent speed ( not even at 900 mhz )

ps. forgot to mentoin, i dont think micron is still making d9gmh/gkx so if you want some you shoul look fo a old/used set.

A few Mushkin kits (redline, 996535) Corsair Cas 3 Dominators, Corsair PC8888 cas 4, Team DDR2-1200 + Team DDR2-1300, G.Skill HK PC8500.

Thanks guys, that's what I feared.

I found an old set of OCZ PC2-8000 that should be GMH/GKX the other day, so I will test soon.

Appreciate the responses.
