Could someone who has knowledge let me know if there's a large difference between the 8600GT 256MB version versus the new 512MB version on the MacBook Pro? Does it matter much or only in rendering higher resolution? any links to the comparison between the 2 in 3Dmark6?

the M8600 probly cant use all 256MB so the 512MB is just for marketing

512MB is pointless due to 128bit iirc
