I like the subtle yet effective changes!

How much of a mess did it make to polish the rails like that? (Thinkin' of doing the same thing.)

Me like jazzy Cosmos'

By sanding and alot elbow grease ;);)

I stared with Grit P180 (normaly applied to wood, but gets rid of the paint)
Grit P320
Grit P800
Grit P1000
Grit P1200
Grit P1500

And at the end, i used "autosol" to polish the surface with, this product is available in most countries

When you are done the surface should be very smooth before you apply autosol

I figured something that nice had to be hard work (dam). Excellent info, thanks Fumle:up:

Good work,

I used 1/8" sleeving for this (3mm in EU size)

But i takes a short amount time, but really happy with the end results

Nice work Fumle, especially good job on the sleeving! What tool did you use to remove the pins in the ATX and PCI-E connectors? I'm currently sleeving my HX620 and i can't get them out with the sunbeam tool:mad:.

The sunbeam tools er are SH**, i use an pin remover from AC Ryan, it fits perfectly but dont use much force, because it will break

Wow I really like what you did the PSU-Express cable. I managed to removed my PCI cable with the Sunbeam, but it took a very long time; and thats with only four cables. To think I was going to do it with my PSU cable was not welcoming. I really like the aestetic look to it, now that you metioned about the AC Ryan, I'm definitely put it on my list to do. Now *runs off to PPCs*.

BTW looking good on the project keep it up .

An very sad update:

I ran into alot problems while modding different things, while trying to do some fancy stuff with power button (I/O Panel) it broke and coolermaster does not any for sale yet, atleast what the CoolerMaster Shop told me

Also while polishing the sidebars at the front, one of the springs holding it where lost, and i also have to desambly the case for better asembly because the sides doesnt fit properly so the side keeps "popping" off the case, really ignoring

So now i stopping modding it and put it back in the box, maybe i will finish it in the future but who knows :)

Well you could always email cm and a sk for a replacement part. Just make sure that the thing is within warranty ;)

Also about the sidepanel make sure there is no cable on the actual spring system from the outside where it touches the sidepanel.

(of course if that is not the window panel)

Also make sure you only have a cable on a line and not 1 piled up on another.

also try no to use the downer hole of the case for the psu cables use the upper one

Hope to see more of your mod

dont give up....CM will send you a replacement part, they sent me a new side panel after I dented it trying to force it back on... (cables were in the way) It was all my fault but they replaced it anyway.

I have tried that and they told me that they dont got any for sale right now, but my girlfriend has left me after 7 years, so i dont really have this project on my mind for the time being
