What do you think the safest overclock would be with this monster heatsink? My specs are:
IC7-G
P4 3ghz
1 gig [2 x 512mb] pc 3500 corsair XMS

thx all :)

Your already above memory specs, good chance your mem is crapping out, try changing to 5:4 and give it some more, figure out what the processor limit is without the memory in the equation. once you know CPU limit then you can tweak your memory ratio/timing for best performance.

Thats the problem...none of the dividers help either...its wierd, if i go over 230FSB no matter what divider, windows craps out...

wow, most likely your processor is limit then:( You have luck like me if thats the case, took me quite a few different purchases to find some decent P4's:(

:( could it be that I am just not giving it enough voltage? its at stock right now, so that may be the problem...

lol, most here would agree up to 1.7 is pretty safe, by all means do it..

Is it a s 3.0b or 3.0c? I would doubt that a 3.0c would stop at 3.3ghz....

its a 3.0C
well so far I have only been able to get it to about 3.3 STABLE on air :( Upped the voltage to 1.7 and tried running prime95...worked for 6 hours and then quit. Thought i had it too :(
