View Full Version : TWIN3X2048-1800C7DF R?!?! Isn't that supposed to be G?

Ordered two sets of TWIN3X2048-1800C7DF and noticed that "STORE" had provided me an e-mail showing them as TWIN3X2048-1800C7DF R (note the 'R' at the end). I have always seen a G there instead of a R. Is this something I should know about? Has me a little worried. I always assumed a G at the end of anything meant "Green". Maybe R means "RAPED" on those prices. :D

Also, can anyone confirm if this memory module has the micron D9-GTR on it?

The first and second kits of DDR3 RAM I ever purchased were both of the Corsairs PC3-14400 memory (non-XMP and XMP versions). I can verfiy that the kits I had were indeed D9GTR IC based. I ended up returning both kits because of the extreme prices. At that time there were other "high-binned" GTR kits available for much lower prices. With that said however those kits are pretty impressive.

There is a sticky here in this section with our IC listings:

Oh, and if you ordered from the Egg, the "R" is their code for retail AFAIK. This is to distinguish from OEM parts.

Yellowbeard - Its probably already posted here somewhere but does Corsairs have plans to release a PC3-16000 kit anytime soon? Granted IC's capable of this speed (with your binning process) are few and far between but do you have any idea? (Back on topic now)

We are always pursuing faster speed grades. I have not time table as we are still watching both the ICs and the 790i maturing. Right now, it is a slow process overall.

Our 4gb kits are coming along nicely:
