What do you guys use to carry your gear?

I have a Lowepro Nova Mini AW but will be upgrading soon to something roomier.

Here's the one I got. Good bag, space for many lenses, durable too.

tbh i just put all my stuff into my backpack with like a scarf wrapped around it.

It aint pretty but it does the job and prevents me from needing to carry around a whole truckload of bags and :banana::banana::banana: :s

Have a Tamrac Veloicty 8 here and I love it. Holds my D40x with 70-300 attached with hood on. Enables me to never have to put the lens cap on so that I can pull from the bag and shoot quickly if i need to.

I got it because unlike the bag type you can fit the body with a 70-300 attached to it.

I'm considering the following:

SlingShot 200 AW (http://products.lowepro.com/product/SlingShot-200-AW,2035,4.htm)
Orion AW (http://products.lowepro.com/product/Orion-AW,1987,7.htm)
Primus AW (http://products.lowepro.com/product/Primus-AW,1995,14.htm)
Rover Plus AW (http://products.lowepro.com/product/Rover-Plus-AW,2025,14.htm)

Need to find what I need and don't need still.

I looked at the side load backpacks, and they don't have room to have a long lens attached. Its to bad because the side load is nice you don't have to take it off to get your camera out.

The dividers are removeable and configurable with the velcro on the sides. You should be able to make the center longer for a bigger lens.

I have to give them a try at our Rockbrook.

There just isn't that much room with the side loaders even with the dividers.

take a look at the velocity 8 guys. it is a sling bag and will hold the nikon 70-300vr with hood mounted on camera. it will also fit larger lenses if you pull off the hood.

Guys how comfortable are these Slingshot bags? I'm talking hiking, trails, photo expeditions, etc. How are they for the long haul?

I'm 5' 4" and I think the 200 would be right for my needs, with the 300 being too big and the 100 too small. Won't know for sure until I try on a few different ones though. It does need to have room for basic supplies and snacks.

I just ordered this contraption:
http://products.lowepro.com//CatalogImages/18-1924-IMG1_LRG.jpeg

I know it's butt ugly yet it is needed :D It's a Lowepro CompuTrekker by the way and it's for an Olympus E-510, lenses and a notebook.

That should be a sweet setup

Though from the picture it looks like you will have a lot of empty space with the gear you listed.

Same here. I picked it up a few months back for $20 :) I also have a Canon 70-200mm F/4 L USM on the way to help fill it up more. (along with Rebel XTi, Sigma 28-105mm, Canon 50mm F/1.8, 18-55mm kit lens and BG-E3)

I find some pic's of my older Computertrekker Plus AW:

It was a bit too much for my equipment (EOS 400D/XTi, Canon 17-40 F4, Canon 70-200 F4 IS, Speedlite 430EX, some filter's, ...). ;)

Yeah for now it will be overkill. However beer cans are good contesters to fit the lens spaces until they are needed for something else :D

@deepsilver: the picture doesn load for me (but that could have to do with the fact I'm downloading multiple files atm).

Liquid + Camera bag = broken camera.

The only thing that goes in my camera bag is the camera + accesories. Can't say I'd EVER let a drink near it.

I just picked up a Crumpler 5 Million Dollar Home bag and love it. It fits my Canon 30d and Canon HD camcorder very nicely. I think I even have enough room for another lens when that time comes.

I'll be taking it to Colorado for a week shortly and I'll put it to the test.
