Are these sticks any good ?

http://www.tankguys.com/product_info.php?cPath=46_144_147&products_id=1805&osCsid=4fef37f70d321671c26abac74769146b

The PC2-5400 ones seem to be out of stock everywhere, So this seems to be the next best choice, anyone have these RAM ? do they OC the same as the PC2-5400 ones ??

Thanks a Lot in advance.

Why shouldn't they be good? They've got D9GMH chips, go get them :)

I ordered them on Thursday morning but my order is still 'processing.' My card was charged on Thursday and their policy states that they won't charge your card until your order has been shipped. No updates, no e-mails answered, no tracking #, nothing. I'm really pissed off about it.

Yea, Let us know how they perform.

Also Tankguy stated they are using D9GCT now, instead of D9GMH.

When I ordered it, the description stated that they were D9GMH. They better not be D9GCT.

I've still got no response and my order still says processing! This has to be the worst customer service I've ever seen in my life! My card was charged on the 24th when I placed the order (in the early am) and I've recieved no status updates whatsoever. I've sent 4 e-mails and none have been returned. If they shipped my package when they charged my card like their policy states then I would've had my package on saturday. Instead, It's tuesday and they haven't even shipped it out yet! They don't even have a phone # to call.

I just tried to locate a phone number for TankGuys with both Goog-411 and normal (fee-based) 411 and neither was able to resolve a phone number for the business name or address listed on their site for Pinckney, MI.

The RAM selection they offer is impressive, but unless they step up their customer service in a big way, I'll steer very clear.

Yes, please post how well these sticks perform. Since their 667MHz model has been on backorder for quite a while, these seem to be the best choice for my price range.

I still haven't heard back from them and my order is still 'processing.' It's been six days since I placed the order and six days since my card was charged. I've sent a total of 5 e-mails over the past 5 days, one each day and nothing. My order status hasn't changed, no e-mail response, and of course no package or fedex missed delivery slips. This is getting ridiculous...

[Edit]
So I ordered this RAM
Newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820144119)
from the user reviews of these and PC2-8500 ones, they seem to be hitting 1200+ with 2.1v. What do you guys think ?

Ok I got a response from Tankguys. Apparently it's not their fault for the delay. They submitted the order with Team on the 24th also and haven't heard back from them. Supposibly they've been having problems with Team lately.

I'll let you all know how they run when I get them. I'll be testing them on my Biostar TP35D2-A7 + E6400. I know the board is good for atleast 1200mhz cas 5, as I've hit those speeds with Ballistix, which are basically dead now. They are so far gone it's not even funny. I need 2.23V just to get them to boot and they won't run faster than 667mhz 5-5-5-15 anymore.

if one was to place an order did they give you a date when things will be sorted out and you could expect your order to be filled?

Geil Black Dragons and Evo's are Elpida based ic, only Micron based ( and those are D9GCT ), are Ultra Plus modules.

Thanks for the information Mad_skills. Are Elpida capable of hitting 1200mhz ?

You won't feel much difference if they hit 1150MHz and not 1200MHz, but you will try never the less, no problem man, good luck.

Perhaps you can check this out, standard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146565) or the Tracer (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148076) ones, both are around 60$. The sole problem is that you might get the single-sided ones that aren't as good overclocker as are the old double-sided modules...

its a 100% chance of single sidded now

Probably you're right, but then again, for that amount of money he can hardly find something better and new, or he can try and search the adds for something of a jackpot...:D

Yea, I was aware of the new Single Sided Ballistix, too sad they ruined their Ballistix lineup that were used to be the best OCing RAM available. :(.

Were pretty good! ;)

They have totally crapped the bed after about a year. They were the 512MB sticks of PC8000's. I can't get them to boot at less than 2.3V now and they won't run any higher than 667mhz 5-5-5-15!

I canceled my order for the Team Xtreem PC2-4200. Apparently the guy from tankguys can't get in touch with Team. Team never processed my order (tankguys doesn't carry the ram in stock, they have it shipped directly from the manufacturer.) After two weeks of waiting I decided enough was enough.
