is it possible to a soft to recognize an image?

I would like it to be able to:
-determine the background colour
-"understand" if in a pic there is only a digi cam or a digi cam and something accesorie ( a flower or something else).

i would be using this to work :)

if the image has multiple layers gimp and script-fu may help you out.

photoshop or any decent photo editing software will help you out here. They however do cost rather ridiculous amounts of money therefore as mentioned before, GIMP is probably your best bet :)
