Win XP Pro Prob

hi.. need help on this..

whenever im browsing thru my folders wif video files.. like avi,mpg,mpeg..
once i hav select a video file.. theres a preview by the side of the folder..

then..

window explorer hangs and restarts itself.. and my taskbar goes into a mess!

help!

i hav remove the reg keys tat processes the avi files.. but din help either.. got a solution? any1? :(

Did you get the worm virus update from Microsoft yet? That sounds a little wormy.

yap i did patched my windows quite sometime ago..
juz checked back to windows update.. nuting else to update..

It wouldn't be a registry problem.

Do you have SP1?

yap i patched tat quite some time ago..
sigh..

I hated sp1. It caused a lot of problems for me.
Have you tried reinstalling yet?

yap i did..
i did a clean and fresh os install of winxp pro..
still doesn't help...
