It's my first time doing vmods on a video card I don't rly know how to get started but I got some 1k VR's from here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=180230220992&_trksid=p3984.cWON.m313.lVI it says from left to right, 3,2,1, three legs, under the 3 it says CW, under the 2 theres an arrow poiting out, which number would be ideal for ground? And how does the switch on top of the VR work?

Resistance from 3 to 1 is constantly 1K.
Resistance from 3 to 2 and from 2 to 1 vary from 0 to 1K as you turn the screw. The summary of these 2 resistances is 1K.
Turning the screw in one direction lowers one of those resistances and increases the other one.

I usually scrap one of the 2 edge legs and work with the other one and the middle. You'll need a multimeter that counts resistance, if you don't already have one.

so the more resistance the less voltage? Or the other way around?
