hi..
need help on this.. thx in advance!

i hav a system as follows:

antec true430
msi 845e max mobo
intel p4 2.4ghz (B)

hsf: thermalrite slk900u + ystech 92mm fan(3100 rpm;63cfm)

2x512mb pc2700 ddr ram
1 cd-rom
1 cd-rw
2 ide hdd
msi geforce4 ti4200 vga card
SB live audigy
2x 3com lan adapters

chasis fans: 2x80mm front in, 1x92mm side in, 1x92mm side out, 1x80mm side out, 1x80mm back out

idle: system=26C and cpu=47C
full load: system=26C and cpu=52C

temperature readings are frm
MBM 5 (http://mbm.livewiredev.com/)

tried all ways to reduce temps.. but not very successful..
any1 got any gd ways of reducing some more degrees?

isit possible tat the diodes detecting temperatures are faulty?

i don't know if the diodes on MSI boards read the temp incorrectly, i know Abit and Asus boards usually report a littlt high.

try removing the side of your case. if temps drop, you'll need to improve airflow.

you should also look into a more powerful fan for your CPU.

oh, and WELCOME TO XTREME!!!

oic..
yap i try removing the side case.. it goes 1C higher..
haha..
shld my airflow shld be gd enuff?
powerful fan = powerful noise!

thx! im sure tat i will enjoy my stay! :toast:

well, it sounds like your case airflow is probably fine. how about pointing a big room fan at your open case?

you could always go with a more powerful fan and a rheobus. then it'd only be noisy when you needed the extra cooling.

My vote would also be fore a better fan, 92mm x 38mm Vantec Tornado on a rheo, works great and is pretty quiet when turned down, its what I use with my SLK900U

i tried the tornado full blast w/o the rheo..
its screaming but only managed to reduce 2C off the cpu...
