Sorry mate, I found the LanParty image and thought it was made by DFI (obviously cos it looks so good) as for the other image I found that elsewhere on the internet m8 and thought it was just a generic image & no watermarks were present... & I only looked for an individual image of the Minator cos the pic I took was messed up for some reason :S

I will remove them and replace.

Hi Clunk, I'm the owner of Digital Report.

I've replied to your email, but I just wanted to publicly apologise for the use of your images - Mike sent them all to me and I added the watermarks believing they were his own. They've already been removed/replaced.

Hope the rest of you liked the review. Let us know if there's anything you'd like to see in future reviews :)

This was done on the lower cost P35 boards because of the NB not having an IHS. No company can continue to repair/replace boards because users either don't know how to remove and install the heatsink without crushing the core or in a lot of the cases are careless in doing so.


Might want to give proper credit for this also.

I made that table myself from the original provided by DFI for the 67% settings and then calculated all of the 61% figures myself...

As for this whole image stealing thing (no thanks to Rich) it's utter bull**** to be honest, there is no copyright on the images, I wasn't deeplinking, plus I had permission from DFI to do the Review.

No problem. I know exactly where those values were obtained. The above quote by Weescott is a good example of why the source of the values should have been cited. The only time and thought on your part was 5 minutes in Excel.

Citing the source of the information is not only done to give due credit to the originator of the work but to protect the person reusing the information. For instance we know that at least with some board configurations there is a minimum of one value in those charts that is not correct. By leaving your sources unnamed not only do you wrongly reap the praise for the work by just as wrongly the criticism for the errors that it might contain.

Oh, and by the way you might want to correct the mistakes in you BIOS guide on page 11 of your review.

The source of the values is the GTL Tables made by DFI, which indicate the settings for 67% (or x67)... These were given to me by Jimmy @ DFI...

The question is, where do you ASSume that I obtained them?

There was no assumption of where the values come from made by me. Looking at the voltages I knew that were provided by Jimmy. If you use a meter or scope with 0.001 accuracy and measure the board in your possession you will see that no two boards are going to measure exactly the same across the full range of settings.

DOH, This has just made my decision so much more difficult.

Im soon to be putting my E6600 in my HTPC and need either a new cheap mobo for the E6600 or a new highend mobo for the Q9450 ill be purchasing

It was a choice between

Keep Asus Blitz Formula for Q9450 - Buy DFI Lan Party DK P35-T2RS for E6600 HTPC
Use Asus Blitz Formula for E6600 HTPC - Buy DFI LanParty LT X48-T2R for new Q9450

With that Q9450 you're going to be looking for the best motherboard you can get as you will no doubt be limited by it.

I only have a P5K Deluxe and MSI X38 Platinum to use as experience, but the Q9450 ES i had only got to 470-475 pushing everything, even after it hit 450 (3.6Ghz) with ease and minimal voltages.

Well the Asus Blitz has proven to still be one of the best Ocing boards around. I just like new shiny things though and i do like the idea of having 8 HDDS as ive currently got 6 in this pc.
