I just received some nickel plated brass SLI fittings/threads from Aqua tuning, and i must say they are looking sweet!

(PS: they look alot different than the ones on the koolance website but i think they work under the same principle)
http://www.koolance.com/water-cooling/product_info.php?product_id=400 - Single slot
http://www.koolance.com/water-cooling/product_info.php?product_id=434 - Dual slot
http://www.koolance.com/water-cooling/product_info.php?product_id=401 - Triple slot

But i was wondering if they need tubing to be put over, or if they could handle it without tubing.

Reason im asking is because they have a double o-ring seal inside the thread,

That slides over the coupling

And sldies in (btw its very hard to slide them all the way in) till the coupling middle part (which is larger)

As you can see in the pic below, the coupling and thread align perfectly when the thread is slided all the way in.

Has anyone used these or similar sli fittings with no tube? i think it should withstand leaking cause of the double o ring seal and tightness that is required to push it in.

prices were a bit steep tho, 10.99 euros for the small one(1 slot spacing), 11.99 for the mid one(2 slot spacing) and 12.99 for the large one (3 slot spacing)

According to the product details the single slot spacing one can sxtend from 16.9mm to 30.3mm.

What do you guys think? to tube or not to tube?

I think you don't need to tube it. It should work fine

Google doesn't like the pic's, so you'll have to have both windows open. Unless your German is adequate.
