I used the backplate from my thermalright ultra extreme 120 to mount te block, is it ok ?

It's the exact same back plate. I used my TT backplate that was already attached to the MB and left my pro back plate in a box for future use.

Works on my EK supreme, although I had to drill the holes a bit larger for the threads to clear. Then I went to install my TRUE in the GF's computer and I didn't have a backplate for it. Oh well!

thats very dangerous.

The torque on that hsf, is greater then the bowing pressure required with blackplate.

Your gonna warp your board with such a heavy sink and no backplate.

do your GF some justice and buy a backplate. They dont cost very much to protect your hardware.
