changes are coming..
avatar size is now limited to 160x160 instead of 200x200
also a standard will eb coming for signature size as some people are just insane with the size of their sigs...
that info will be posted once the final settings are decided on!

Was this issue of signiture size resolved? I've noticed some people have half to 3/4 page signitures and it's real annoying and unnecessary. I mean, do people really have to list every damn computer that they've ever owned in size 4 in their sig???

I thought avatar size was limited to 180x180 not 200x200. At any rate I guess I'll have to resize mine.
I think I do have some sig cleaning to do, I just haven't gotten around to it :rolleyes:

Avatars are 180x180 now, but try not to go above 178w, it messes up the formatting a lil :p:
For sigs, look at the rules. We don't really have sig police....only when it REALLY gets obtrusive do we say something.

i've yet to see a sig big enough to keep me from seeing atleast 3 posts at a time, just up your resolution from 800x600 or 1024x768, and you'll be fine

when at my crap computer usually on weekends. 1024x768 just slows it down from 800x600 heh.

1600 x 1200 and all I get is Trance's post and just barely the bottom of Stevil's sig...no "separator" between Stevil and Praxis' post can be seen. :p:
Actually trance, I have to agree bub. Your sig is a bit on the larger size.
24. Signatures & Sig images
Signatures should have a maximum letter size of 4. The entire signature including all orb links, system description and pictures shall be no larger than 250Hx550L pixels. Only legal links in a signature will be links directly related to XtremeSystems, Xtreme D2OL, Xtreme Folding@Home, any affiliated website or organization, non-profit sites to help members such as Heatware or links to mods. Links to your home site, e-bay, or any other site are not allowed. Exceptions to this rule may be granted at the sole descretion of XS Administrators for a reasonable request. (See rule # 4)
While I could be wrong, I can almost guarantee that yours is over that limit.
Would you reduce it some please?

i cant reduce the pic, as it's another place that made/hosts it >.< gay, i've had it for almost a year now, and ppl are finally telling me to change evthing ... first the pic with the gun and hips was tooo nsfw, and now it's too big, i should really stop posting in these threads.

Honestly man, the image itself isnt what really increases the size, its all the text you have in with the image.
I am sure if you removed the text and quote, you would be within limits.
MAYBE, very maybe here, but maybe if you shrank the size of the text and removed the spacing and the actual quote tags... you can put up that it is a quote, but not the actual tags, and it might fit in decent enough.

Not sure if that is something you would be happy with or not... but look at the options... I know that if it is close, that not many mods are gonna jump on you about it. Hell, if they do tell them to talk to me. ^_^ I'll tell 'em to bugger off for yea.

I'm using 1280x1024. I've seen a few today that take up 1/3 to half the screen.
Looking back, it was maybe an over-reaction. I'm actually a peacefull, laid back person.
I do find it annoying though when someone posts a 1 line reply and the 8 systems they own take up 25 lines for their sig. If there is useful info there it's understandable but many are just full of useless crap.

If there's a concern about Sigs of a persons systems(s), why not incorporate a drop down menu ala the PC Perpective Forums? (http://forums.pcper.com/) They're using VBull also.

OMG - I fought it was recently added, changed my avatar size but didn't pay much attention and ruined it in the process :(
