BSEL2 BSEL1 BSEL0 FSB Frequency
H H L Rerserved

I just want to make sure that I am not retarded

BSEL2 BSEL1 BSEL0 FSB Frequency
H L L 333 MHz

I am currently playing with a Dell XPS 420 with an Intel X38 chipset, was hoping to squeak 1600MHz out of it with a BSEL mod. I tried putting electrical tape over BSEL 2 and BSEL 1 so they were both "H" and BSEL0 remained "L" (untouched)

Is this correct? Just wanna make sure before giving up.

there is honastly no way of knowing with out testing all the possible combo's. as intel doesnt have any 1600/400mhz cpus, if you got the time i say keep trying. just cause it says reserved doesnt mean it will work. GL with it!!

thanks for the help guys!

It does in fact look like my XPS 420 does not support 1600MHz

I will try one last time to be sure.
