I finaly got the right cpu, amd xp 1700+ agoia -y week 8, 2GHz with my super watercooling :) . If I could only get some decent ddr , I'll be breaking some 3dmark records. I now have Samsung original 256mb but its DTL and double sided, maxed at 180 turbo cas2 2-5-3-1t timings on Epox 8KHA+ at 3.2V . This 2 gigers is not very stable yet cos' of my crappy psu, check my voltages :)
I just need to install my new waterblock for nb and then my super Hercules 8500 water cooling, then I'm ready for some serious 3d marking, I'm pretty sure I can get to top even at my lower fsb speed, in category of axp, ati8500 win xp, maybe even in all os.
Here's one for my history book ;D

Yes, I just broke 11k in 3dmark and this with mildly oc. Hercules 8500 LE (315/315), damn if only I have good Samsung ram, I'll be sweeping with everybody in 8500, axp category, but still this is good for No.1 in axp,8500, winxp.:banana::banana::banana:, first 11 runners are all on win98, can there be realy that kind of difference?

Could any good man get me some good Samsung ddr, there's no way I can get good stuff in Slovenia, like 256mb module single sided ctl, PLEASE.

same here...the other day we had the record temperature--ever here in the inland north-west. :(

Thanks, fellas, yep water cooling rock, and this new block of mine is incredible, check the temps at that massive oc. and voltage, a lot more then 100W of heat and I'm bellow 40°C (water temps ~22°C) ,I'll make diode reader for my mobo this week and then I'll know true temps.

what waterblock are you using?

My own creation, (see avatar) and you can check it out here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=832&perpage=25&pagenumber=3
I'll have 20-30 made in August, cnc version slightly modified to be even better  And right now I'm making something completly new, I won't say anything till I test it, but it's completly different water cooling strategy than maze style blocks, and if it will work ..... ;)

edit: I just find Corsair extreme pc2700 cas2 (140 euros=$) in Italy, not that very far from me, is that valid in most cases for 200c2 turbo 2-5-2 t1 overvolted ?
Is the price OK, or could I find it cheaper_

morphling1,

Sweet clock! Regarding the memory...to my knowledge, when they rate memory @ a certain speed w/ certain timings, that is w/ default voltage(unless they mention a voltage, though I've never seen this myself). This is what I've taken it as.....interested to see what others think.

is the key word to that--surface area?? ;)

From a Corsair licence agreement I saw it stated within 2.5-2.7v's for DDR Ram for any given rating...

dmytriyaz, not exactly that have been done without great succes, key word is short paths high speeds, with some surface area too :D
Looks I might get lucky with some pc2700 corsair ddr, and I can test it before I buy it

KAIN,

Good info right there :)

Guess ya gotta read the fine print! And if it don't say nothin, its safe to say that it SHOULD run at the rated speed at 2.5v.....still don't mean it will :D :D :D

LOL, yep always read the fine print :D
I put back my old pc2700 Kingmax (2x128mb) and this thing started working on 180 everything to the max cas2 turbo 2-5-2 1t at 3.2V. Some time ago it wouldn't work on 166 at that settings, so this is a lot better than my Samsung original dtl which can hit 160 at that setting, (would run 180cas2 turbo 2-5-3 1t at 3.2V though)

And Newegg claims that there is no difference between CTL and DTL? Eat my shorts i say. I ordered a CTL, got a DTL, and the webshop where i got it says that DTL is a newer revision, and that they cant get any CTL modules anymore. Im getting some XMS. Fast.

My DTL tops at 185mhz 2-3-6-3-2CMD-1T Enhance DRAM, 200mhz By SPD.

Last week I had a time playing with Corsair pc2700c2 and pc3000c2. 2700 was Ok, did 182 all to the max, but 3000 was just bad couldn't hit 180 max, so even with Corsair there's a lot to do with luck. I also got Antec Psu, and after correcting 5V in 3.3V rails to 5V and 3.4 under load my Kingmax can now hit 182 MHz , so I got another 2mhz. And I also played a little, how much can I oc. and still take screen shoot. So here it is:

This was done with 21°C water btw.
