I've just found it on Gigabyte's website (http://www.giga-byte.com/Support/Motherboard/BIOS_Model.aspx?ProductID=2694). Is it much different then F4f?

I flashed it a couple days ago Carath. No new options that I noticed in Bios, but it did improve stability on the HT Ref clock.

The best I could get before was ~230, been running stable at 250 since flashing F4 final.

Just flashed.

It didn't solve my stability problem with OCZ platinum ram (2x2gb), what is more, now if i manually set fsb clock (still can't get more then 217) and then switch to auto it actually leaves my settings...

Any hopes for better ram compatibility?

Have flashed the F5 BIOS but my computer (Vista-64, SP1; 8GB RAM) will not shut down. It closes down then starts up two seconds later. I have gone through the Power options and set them to as before. Anyone else having this problem? I had no problem with the SP1, it has only happened since flashing the F5 BIOS.

Just rolled back to F4 and the problem disappeared.
Just a 'heads up' for others. Whatever the problem is, it seems that the change to the F5 BIOS triggered it. I hope that Gigabyte has flagged it on their own test benches!

For what we paid for this board, it should be a solid performer but I have a feeling GA will not be able to solve it. While I have run for over several weeks non-stop with out a restart, I have seen some apps get flakey. I'm running Corsairs as recommended (2x2G DDR2-800) and a GP9500, I still don't think it's absolutely stable like my GA-P35-DS3P which runs the GSkills without a problem (absolutely solid albeit sintel board).

Whats the diff between this and the DFI-M2RS? I'm leaning towards the DFI board because it can support 3 Dual Slot boards in X-Fire, while this board can only do 2.

Just for the record guys, I flashed the F5 bios and I've had no problems at all... In fact it allowed me to get my NB speed up to 2100Mhz stable, when I could barely run 1930 on the F4 bios.

Might be a memory or 64bit OS problem. My system stats in sig.

just flashed to f5 and can finally run the 9900 phenom at full HT/NB speed. was restricted to 1800 for stability up to this bios. also AOD 2.0.17 works with this bios.

I see that DFI Board owners are not alone and we are all struggling to get a solid bios for this Platform even still:rolleyes:

finally glad to see that the 9900 ES is running as it should 1066 mem 2000/2000. had been pulling hair out for past few months since i rcvd the cpu trying to get it right. just peeked in the DFI thread, and am still aching for that board.
