Hi,

i just got my parts and im ready for the build (im starting Tomorrow)

here are my parts (a picture is worth a thousand words):
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh144/Water-Cooler/DSC01216.jpg

and here are my jewels :p:
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh144/Water-Cooler/DSC01212.jpg

and here is my case:
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh144/Water-Cooler/DSC01235.jpg

http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh144/Water-Cooler/DSC01233.jpg

i was going for three loops but unfortunately the Gainward 8800GTS 1024mb GS GLH isn't reference design as you see in this picture:
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh144/Water-Cooler/DSC01231.jpg

the extra 512MBs are on th back:
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh144/Water-Cooler/DSC01232.jpg

so there goes my third loop  and i already got the GTS blocks  , well i'll try to get them back.

so here is what im cooling:
CPU: QX6800 (im getting a 45nm Quad soon)
Motherboard: 780i (Duh :ROTF: ) NB and Mosfet
and the fans will be the Scythe Ultra Kaze 3000rpm 133cfm controlled by the Sunbeam Rheobus 4channel

well thats about it, i installed the washer in the D-tek do you recommend that i use the Quad nozzles? and do you have any suggestion.... please be my guest.

thanks IanY, lol of course your rig is the BEST :ROTF:

im replacing the blocks with the MCW60 (i hope) and im sure it will fit

how are you setting up the rads?

Where are the 2 triple rads going bottom section?

ALSO Where did you get that power supply? and power plug comes with it?

the two triple rads are going in the bottom section and the single will be in the exhaust fan place
the power supply is the Ultra X3 1000watt :yepp:
i will post a picture later today showing how the setup will be :)

Cool! do you visit frequently?

---------- Update-----------
now here is how the setup should be, what do you think?

http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh144/Water-Cooler/DSC01238.jpg

as you see i mounted the intake fan on the other side to save some room for the rads, and also i need to raise the pump ;) :
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh144/Water-Cooler/DSC01249.jpg

the other side:
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh144/Water-Cooler/DSC01248.jpg

here are the reservoirs a little dirty :shakes: and any thoughts where should i place the DDC pump and the EK 100 res?:
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh144/Water-Cooler/DSC01241.jpg

here is a closeup on the mcr120:

and here is the back:

no point in leaving the front 120mm fan in the bottom chamber. It doesn't need to be there, doesn't cool anything.

take off the fan and use the extra space for more pump mount options..
oh yea and im super jealous of the gainwards

Just a little FYI.......I, as well as others, have had problems with EK barbs sealing properly on the MCR320s. So you may need to add a thicker o-ring or swap out for other barbs, whichever is easier.

Looks very good though!

It looks very good so far :) One question though, regarding your fans on the radiators. It appears that all 6 fans are pushing through the rad and into the case. Wouldn't that create undesirable side effects?

that question was on my mind, and i thought of flipping the fans on one rad so one will push and one will pull, but wouldn't the hot air from the first affect the cooling capabilities of the second:confused:

hat question was on my mind, and i thought of flipping the fans on one rad so one will push and one will pull, but wouldn't the hot air from the first affect the cooling capabilities of the secondYes it would impact the second rad somewhat, but at least you wouldn't have a big collection of heat if you had both rads acting against each other.

If you're truly worried about it, use the second rad on your graphics cards.

\/\/ater (ooler

well i guess there will not be a big deference in temps if i flipped the fans on the second rad...

You'll probably have to experiment with fan direction to see what's best. I did a little and found that in one side and out the other was best here (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showpost.php?p=2413519&postcount=130). I have thicker radiators with less space between them however. Nice looking rig!

any updates?

sorry, just been a little busy these days, its almost done but one of my gpus is sent RMA right now (and BTW the MCW60 fits perfectly but i can use the backplate because there are some transistors in the way), that's the only thing holding me back now, maybe a week or so
here are some updated photos, i finalized the chipset loop, later today i will do the CPU loop and i will post pics, tell me what do you guys think so far:

Those are some badass fans! But I think you should get rid of that ram cooler. It might look smooth but those lil fans make (at least) my ears bleed.

Anyway, looking good so far :) Looking forward for the loops.

lol i don't want to just snip it off, i might damage something in the process, and its helpful in case you forgot to plug the power (i didn't once or twice:shakes: ) but i am sure that the MCW60 will do the job just as good

looking good!

Thanks ;) looking forward for your finished rig

Thanks!! lol i used the ram cooler in my first build and i didn't notice it that much but its ok, if its loud i will crank up the Ultra Kazes and i guarantee i wont here the ram cooler any more

BTW i finalized the CPU loop and i installed the second MCR320 also and did all the plumbing the only thing missing is the damn GPU it should be here on Friday :shakes: , i will post pictures ASAP

***Edit: oh and also today i got an interesting package from UPS, i will tell you what it is when i post the pictures :)

http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh144/Water-Cooler/IMG_0100.jpg
i hope its good because as far as i know that week 40 is mixed with bad and good chips, so i hope its a good one.

ok here is what my rig looks like with everything installed (except the second GTS :( ) :

http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh144/Water-Cooler/IMG_0088.jpg
lol its sooooooo cramped but it works for me

the other side
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh144/Water-Cooler/IMG_0073.jpg
and i can close both sides with no problems

now i want to cut the side panels, i want to make a window on the top part and a mesh panel on the lower part, so how do you advise me to do this?
is it easy to just use a dremel (BTW im not that handy with a dremel) or just send it to a experienced shop.

waiting for your comments

disruptfam
04-05-2008, 11:27 PM
it only takes 2mins to take the stickers off lol (did that cpu box come like that in the mail, pretty beaten up)

The best way to go when cutting a panel is investing in a jigsaw w/metal cutting blade alot easier than a dremel faster and more precise make sure you mask the panel to protect from scratches.

Can you do me a favor can you measure the length of that psu. I'm getting the same one

Overall build is looking good :) a lil cramped just need to tidy up the cables a lil and you almost there

cheers

Oh yes, did you figure out if you're going to use the quad nozzle for the Fuzion?

04-06-2008, 01:54 PM
Awesome! Definitely put mesh panels on the lower section to allow more air into the radiators. A jigsaw would be the best choice, as disruptfam said. Overall, that looks very neat. Have you started to OC yet? I hope you got one of the good CPUs.

lol but i have to take the ram cooler out to take the stickers out :p: , yes i got the box that way :shakes: but all things inside are not harmed (but i opened it from the side so its not teared up atleast :p)
great i already have a jigsaw but do i use the rough blade or a fine one?
and the PSUs length is 18 1/2 cm

i will tidy up the cables as much as i can until the GPU arrives

How did you mount the radiators to the case floor? :)

Did you have to screw'em in or something?

I really like the all black finish. What are those wide black cables? That pump installation is bit weirdish, but as long as it works it shouldn't be no problem tough. Did you plan to use some coloured coolant there? Or just clear water?

thanks! the wide cables are the power supply cables ;) , on the first post on the thread there is picture of the coolants i plan to use, its Primochill PC ICE uv blue and uv green, and i did my sig to match it :D

no couldn't fit it, the standoffs are small compared to other cases and the cable would get in the way of mounting the motherboard

First off: Amazing rig man! AMAZING. My question is, are you getting all these components shipped from USA? Or are you getting it elsewhere? Im in Oman and cant find any of this stuff there. Had to get my WC setup shipped from USA.

It's nice, but it just feels like you're trying too hard to get 3 loops, maybe its just cause I'm not feel the little guy "mcr120" him blocking air flow an all, with 2*triple rad i just dont see the need for him.

the MCR120 is sucking air from inside the case to the outside, and there is a 120mm fan on the front panel, and i want to overclock the hell out everything so this is the way to get maximum cooling on everything, and this is Xtreme Systems everything has to be Extreme

i have good news and bad news, the good news that i finished my loops and turned on my pc :) , good right? then i was stress testing with OCCT and then after 28 minutes the pc just turned off without any warning, not even a BSOD and now it doesn't even want to power up again :( i checked my PSU and it worked fine when i jump started it and also tried another PSU but the same result, when i try to turn it on it just turn on for less than a second and turn back off, i think its a short circuit problem but im too tired to remove everything again so maybe i will try it tomorrow!

any suggestions would be great
