I'm in the process of putting a PC together and have been reading up on water cooling and overclocking, and xtremesystems.org has an absolute wealth of information and has helped me out a lot.

Can I get some recommendations on what is the best quality and best performance waterblocks for the following?

Intel Socket 775
D-Tek FuZion?

nvidia GeForce 9800 GX2
Innovatek?

790i Northbridge
EK?

790i Southbridge
EK?

790i MOSFET
EK?

HDD
Thermaltake Aquabay M4?

Thanks. :)

Intel Socket 775
D-Tek FuZion with nozels

nvidia GeForce 9800 GX2
Don't use Innovatek, they make their blocks of aluminium. Wait for the EK block

Chipsets+mosfets
EK

There is no need for watercooling the HDDs.

Which rad and pump are you going to use?

I want to water cool the HDD's anyway, even though a lot of people on xtremesystems will say it's unneccessary.

When will the EK 9800 GX2 waterblock be released?

I am looking at using a:

Laing DCC3.2 (MCP355) with an XSPC top
Hardware Labs Black Ice GTX 480 radiator with x8 120mm fans in push/pull
CoolIT Systems Boreas with MTEC Control Centre
Swiftech MicroRes

Thanks.

Why go for Boreas when you're getting pump, rad, and res?

Because Boreas is TEC water chiller = cooler temps.

I may run two seperate loops.

What behemoth of a case are you putting all that in? :)

Thermaltake Armor + VH6000BWS (Black) Super Tower

The looks of the case appeal to me.

I will use a Swiftech Radbox for the 480 radiator, so it will be mounted externally.

the coolit thing will not help your temps at all. you'll just waste money and electricity. secondly, water cooling your hard drive will just shorten its lifetime cause there was a test that hard drives last their longest at the 42 degrees celcius range. water cooling it will just provide restriction and shorten the life span of your hard drive. If you want a real tec chiller, pm martinm210

I vote EK Supreme. Beats the stock Fuzion...

well the stock fuzion has much lower pressure drop than the surpreme. once nozzled, it'll equal or beat the surpreme. however, let's just wait until niksubs results come in and we'll decide a winner k? =P

You buy blocks based on config and pump layout.

Your also never suposed to mix alu and copper, check that innotek out b4 you buy it.

Also there are tons of watercooling guides out there. Three excellent ones are stickied at the top of this thread.

Your EQ is completely messed up because of the TT component.

Also TEC's Dont work. That boras unit is crap. Trust me i tried that setup on a custom TEC chiller using 5 x 91W tec's which would blow that boras out of the sky

End result... if you add it with a radiator = NO WORK!

Yeah, regarding that, I have an issue I need to chase down... I don't know what is going on yet so just bear with me.

martin already did a flow chart on it.

points out the 4.5mm nozzle is near the EK supreme.

I personally like the EK. The discharge area is much greater then a 4.5mm nozzle.

But besides that, adding a 4.5mm nozzle or an EK supreme in a multi block loop is just plane wrong unless you have a massive head pump. Or your running super low restriction blocks.

So basically,

D-tek FuZion or an EK Supreme is the way to go for an Intel 775?

And EK for a Northbridge, Southbridge, MOSFET and GPU is the best?

Those are the most popular and most accepted as the 'best'?

I resent that a little bit.

It's true but, I still resent it a little.
