Sorry you can't find them. They are selling well and we are doing our best to keep up with demand.

Is this ram compatible with XFX 790i ?

Yellowbeard

Yes it is and it is VERY fast on those MOBOs from what we are seeing.

absolutely

i am in the middle of my benching session

getting killer numbers with 790i and this RAM

No and no. XMP will not work on Nvidia chipset based boards, SLI/EPP will not work on Intel chipset based boards. And, due to licensing neither Intel nor Nvidia will allow a single module to carry both technologies.

But not necessary to have the NV version to work on XFX 790i

where to find the 2 GHz sticks ?

Grimtas

To my knowledge Corsair has not released a 2GB stick yet just the 1GB version in a 2GB kit. (IE 2x sticks)

Corsair was the first company to have 4GB kits

have a look at the day when i recieved my first kit ;)

I think he is asking about speed, not density. But, yes we do make DDR3 kits in 2 x 2gb. However, we don't have them in 1800mhz yet.

I just re-read the post I replied to and I see the GHz instead of GB. The 2GB sticks I was reffering to were the 1800 versions as the 2000 and 2133 are yet to be released and I haven't found a published 2GB option their either.

So when is Corsair going to release a 4GB 1800 kit Yellowbeard?? :D

From your refference

these are 2GB sticks rated at 800MHz CAS7 :D

The sticks in this thread title are 1800 versions, but thanks for your input.

No clue, I'll have to ask Bachus and see how the ICs are screening out for higher speeds in the 4gb modules.

if they release higher speed sticks they will be with looser latencies

you are better off with 800MHz CAS7 than 900MHz CAS8 or 1000MHz CAS9 believe me

I can live with this

Corsair DOMINATOR Twin3X2048-1800C7DFIN DDR3 Memory

RAM Memory Type: DDR3-1800 / PC3-14400
Individual Module Capacity: 2048MB
Native Speed & Latency: 1800 MHz @ CAS 7-7-7-20

makes no sense
normally that should mean 2GB kit
i have that kit here 2x1GB

This part number above is for the 2 x 1gb. The 2 x 2gb is Twin3X4096.

^^ I agree that was pulled from a review I think it was a typo and should have read
Individual Module Capacity: 1024MB

Yes I saw those but none in the 1800C7DFIN or lower cas versions. I have a 2G kit hopefully shipping on Monday that will get me started till the next versions of DFIN 1800+ come out I guess.

Cheers

Any lab testing with Nvidia 790i and 4x1GB of CAS7 1800's?

Ok I'm realy getting tired of waiting for this memory. I've ordered it from two different places now and it keeps getting delayed, (BY CORSAIR), I'm now beginning to doubt my decision on using this memory. It's been nearly a month for crying out loud and it's holding up my build as the last component needed. WHAT GIVES??????

I gave up and just contacted the three vendors I had standing orders with trying to get 2x 2GB kits of this memory. It's been a month and now it's time to collect the $1,500+ I have outstanding in orders for Corsair memory. They seem to be having production issues atm and I'm tired of delaying my build. I now have crappy supertalent OEM DDR3 1800 C7 memory on order to be delivered tomorrow so I can progress with my system build and begin loading the OS. Yellowbeard send me a PM when your company gets it's production issues worked out and I'll try placing an order again. My appologies but 30 day's waiting for inventory/production is very disappointing.

Grimtas, sorry about the availability issues. We have been producing this RAM but, the yield is VERY low and we simply cannot supply enough stock to meet demand. We are seeing some improvements from Micron so supply should increase during the next few weeks. I'm sorry for this delay but, we are the mercy of the ICs we get.

Gunslinger, I am not aware of any 4gb testing at those speeds yet. I'll ask Bachus.

No worries Yellowbeard. I'll order your memory again as availabilty increases. I work for a semiconductor manufacturer so I understand the processing delays. I would have used DDR2 as a stop gap but the MB doesn't support it and I need to get the system at least operational at this point. However, if Corsair manages to release a 4GB kit DDR3 1800+ for X38 or X48 chipsets in the near future that would be the route I'll take. I can suffer with the memory I should be receiving today for the short term ;)
