Yea, very frickin impressive!! Probably all the top ten combined in one day lol!!! Many wondered how he could get those numbers, with 3 or 4 mashines, but try and search for PY 222 threads over at MJ12.

It was so disturbing to watch back then with the 30 + mill, that one man just squeezed all teams by him self....... 12 members on one team sweating, while a loner is doing some step dance on them. :( :D

Explaination :

A normal user line fluxuates in upload and download. Mine jumps all the time . Going 4224 max, and jumps all the way down at rare occasions. Never stable, always a jump within 1024.

How do you get the crawler to not fluctuate?? My client usually stays around 10k-15kbps but there are huge jumps and dips here and there; Since you're basically "visiting" multiple websites which then is logged in MJ12 under "successful/not found/timed out/etc." then wouldn't it defy logic since different websites will take slower to load(size difference/location) than others and will cause jumps in the graph? http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/7243/iconscratchoe6.gif

Only way I can think of is by only crawling domains near to your location.

Ie if i crawled only UK domains, line should fluctuate less as they are all local.

Well... it just so happens that if you have a fairly big line, it will take 2 or more PC's to completely max out a line.

It's because the client is based on microsoft's .net framework, which is limited to a little over 10Mbps.

I'm running 1.6.1, which has some memory leaking problems, but Alex has advanced on to 1.6.3.

It has some funny problems, so I would wait to the final, if you haven't upgraded to the beta versions.

Besides the memory leak, it sometimes spin around with a archiving it won't end.
Repeating step 1 and 3, and reporting missing file.
Had to delete it. Did it a couple of times again, with a day between, but hasn't done it since.

One positive thing.....it crawls more url's.

When it comes to fish I like friend flounder sauteed with some butter and thats it..Now smoked salmon is devine but $30.00/lb up here.

I changed my local network a little bit. Some new AMP Cat6 wires, cut out one redundant switch, and set LAN teaming on my motherboard. Didn't think it would make much of a difference, but turns out i was incorrect. New router still on hold ATM.

Bad sectors on my seagate again. Was able to start with F8 and a upstart with error search and correction. But it's finished. That's the last Seagate for me.

Will try a samsung.

It seems that the disk i'm running is actually a Maxtor with a seagate label.

Seagate bought Maxtor, and the disks below 750 GB could be a Maxtor with a Seagate label on. Knowing Maxtors as the worst HDD around at the moment, i feel cheated.

Anyway, i'm not gambling with Seagate anymore, as the label might be a cover for a Maxtor. Samsung it is.

I have 15/2 now but don't think the added upload would help any.:(

Don't look at the days, hixie, they will go up and down, ....been down at 120...

It's based on a seven days output. ...at the moment it's based on a gain on 3-4 mill per day. So double that, and you have halved the days. :yepp:

Such a difference with the E8400 crunching now. Just see! Crunching rig is an Opty 165 2gb DDR RAM all at stock. Primary is E8400 at 3.84ghz with 4GB RAM.

Rebuilt the cruncher tonight. Hit a bit of a snag though. It seems to crash every so often, screen goes blank and it switches off eventually.

No errors on the LED screen, cant work it out. The RAM im using is a bit dodgy, but 1 stick defo worked (I killed a Dominator stick a while back, oops).

Also using an X850 XT-PE card.. as its just the video display that dies.

Might be offline for a few days!

Acquied some garbage DDR2 RAM from work as a test (PC3200 :o) Hopefully it will work with my 6000+. Still got the 7950GX2 as a spare card as well.

Really hoping its just the RAM though.

I took the big chunky heatsink off the Asus board too. Possible that the NB/SB are overheating?

Edit: Open layout install at the minute, put Asus copper paper weight back on. Seems to be installing OK for now! Hopefully back online by tonight.

3 records in one day! :) I beat my all time daily high for a 10.5mil finish and Gamekiller also posted his all-time daily high as well, for a team record of 30mil in 24 hours!! That's the second highest since December '06! Congrats to all and crack open a beer or two for the occasion :D :clap::clap:
