LOL....I guess we have to build it now, the cat is out of the bag.

From the article:

Available next week, and run on an eVGA board, Corsair is validating a 2GiB kit (2 x 1GiB) DDR3 kit at 2,133MHz, with 8-8-8-24 latencies, at 1.9V - or 0.4V above default. A 4GiB kit (2 x 2GiB) is currently hitting around 2,000MHz in internal testing, we learned, with the largest impediment to faster speeds not the DRAM but the memory controller on the chipset. Corsair expects high-density RAM frequencies to scale as the 790i SLI chipset matures.

Always nice to hear from someone else what you got in house lol

Btw, send me a kit pleaseeeee... and a compatible mobo to go with it :D

I don't even have a DDR3 board or any memory yet so you AT LEAST #2 on the list.

Meh it would be waisted on me atm anyway, and btw I hope the sarcasm was thick enough?

I'm quite happy with my geil's, they were cheaper then the corsair equivalents over here  ofcourse in my ddr1 days I used your xms3200xl and I liked em very much ( even if I had a later rev which didn't clock over 250 1t )

Btw, now I got the attention off a corsair rep, what's your personal max recommended voltage for your quimonda based pc6400c4 and don't tell me 2.1v :)

I am not 100% certain and I will have to check. However, I "think" the Quimonda ICs have voltage regulation on the die so, 2.1v is probably all you need to run. Anything above that will simply be converted to heat. I will check to be sure though. I have seen some people posting good results with 2.2v.

They seem to stop scaling around 2.2v indeed that was what I thought after reading most people's results with them. But asking for confirmation never hurts, thank you Yellowbeard. I didn't know they ( probably?! ) had voltage regulation on the pcb either, but it makes sence since they don't die but quit scaling so suddenly.

Marvin, you still planning on blowing up Earth? If you are, then I am most certainly NOT going to check on those ICs for you. :p:

Naw since FUGGER allowed me change from Martian_Invader to my normally used nick I feel allot more peacefull

Yellowbeard, PLEASE tell me the 2 ghz 4gb kit isn't speculation either. I love your memory kits, and would gladly knock off a bank or two to buy a set.

If the ICs will do it, we'll build it! I think.......
