Check it out, just when the 2.53 was warming up Intel will be releasing a 2.8g chip within the next couple of weeks.

you will be better qualified along with others to give a better answer than me OPP but my initial thoughts are could these just be handpicked chips from the current series as they seem to get to 2.8 easily.Im no intel guru but it seems a big jump from 2.53 to 2.8 in one go. Or is it as ive been AMD for ages and used to smaller rises

well remember this is intel and they do alot of stuff under wraps.

i'd say those are the 2.53 ,
they've got a lot of potential,
and Intel would be stupid (from marketing standpoint) not to speculate on that.

I could care less what the are as long as they overclock to 3800 and keep the basic 1000mhz average overclock going. Fact is they are working on a 10gig chip allready:D

most of my friends are still just below or just above the 1 ghz barrier... and we're having 3.2, kewl.
most of my friends don't drive a Porsche :D

its not actually going from 2.53 to 2.8 there is a 2.66b listed on my wholesaler website but it cost about $1300 canadian for the 2.6 heh you could live in the poor house

yeah they were just gonna do the 2.66 but then they decided to knock it up a notch.
