Most of us have good casings these days and plenty of fans. I'm just curious how many fans do you guys have in that case? For mine, it's 9 altogether comprising of 120mm, 80mm and 60mm fans. That's a lot

1 120mm on the PSU.
1 80mm on the HSF.
1 120mm on the Case.
1 60mm on the VGA.
1 120mm on the HDD's.

3 antec 3-speed LED 120mm fans(2 intake, one exhaust)
1 antec bigboy fan(exhaust)
1 NMB 120mm on side panel(intake)
1 60mm or 70mm on my VF900
1 140mm on my PSU
1 scythe 120mm on my HS

8 in total, and no it is not loud. i keep the 3-speeds on low and medium

I did away with my case a couple weeks ago, so the computer is just sitting on my desk ATM, but:

1 120mm on PSU
3 120mm on Tuniq Tower
Stock fan on VGA
1 Desk fan blowing on everything.

2 120mm top (S-Flex F)
1 120mm rear (Yate Loon D12SL-12)
1 120mm front (Yate Loon D12SL-12 @5V)
1 140mm side (Yate Loon D14SL-12)
2 120mm on CPU heatsink (Yate Loon D12SL-12 and S-Flex F)
1 VGA fan

once I fit my AC S1 I'll try passive with the side fan airflow. So 8 right now.

I have a Zalman MFC1 Plus controller and all fans are 5-12V variable except the VGA and front intake. Despite 8 fans its very very very quiet on 5V, but for normal use/gaming/folding the side is on 12V and the rest on 8-9V which is still very quiet.

I 80mm fan in the PSU, 1 80mm fan sucking air over the CPU. That's all. Admittedly, it is an insanely slow computer (pentium 3-based dull (dell) @1ghz)

I have a modded Stacker 810.

1 blowhole
2 rear exahust
3 pull on rad
1 back side of mobo tray pulling air from behind the mobo
1 blowing on RAM
3X San Aces, rest YLs.

I am currently working on a CM 690.
2 pushing thru rad
1 intake front
2 pulling from case via panel
1 pulling back side of mobo tray
1 exhaust
1 pushing through bottom of case.
All of these are 120 & 140 YLs.

We all know how many fans these fans hold stock or can hold, I am adding more.

If I get a hold of a Cosmo, or a new Stacker if it released well.............I think the authorities will come knocking asking why they are getting complaints of helicopter sounds coming from my apartment.

I might 7v all my fans and see how it does. I'm sure at a lower CPU clock and stock VGA it'd be fine, even during the summer months, but with that said, warmer temps are only a few months away. I may need to invest in some Panaflo's or something :p:

all heatsinks, inc CPU & GPU, have been lapped to extremes so i could get away with fans as quiet as possible.

the 40mm is in place via a modded & bent rear PCI bracket. felt it was needed as the heatsink was getting pretty warm after reaching 3.6ghz.

I see two problems with your fan arangement:
one, you seem to have a couple that are pushing against each other. You may need to flip one over.

And two, I see you have two or three that you seem to have forgotten to plug in. You should hurry up and rectify this oversight as you might experience a lack of airflow using only 74 of 77 fans  :ROTF:

Fujimitsu

If you REALLY need fans, just scrounge old hardware. You can find TONS of old PCs & PSUs to steal fans from... better than paying $12 for them IMO.

Or you can buy em in large bulk from a lot of electronics retailers, and ebay.

I only have a single fan in my current case (not counting the barely moving fan in my PSU). An old 92mm fan ripped from an Arctic Cooling s478 cooler running at about 900rpm. Combined with a TR Ultra-90 it keeps my 4400+ below 40˚C even in load. :)
