Hey guys... I'm back for my rebuild. For those who don't know and wondering why i pulling such a new build apart,I can thank dye build up for that.

So i pulled my rig apart last night drained all my loops and cleaned out all my blocks, rads, etc.

And while my system is down i decided to change/add/remove things to come up with a new and improved tri-loop.Will be logging all my progress here...

Ok so like i said i cleaned my system took it apart (sorry no pics of this a bit boring really)

I got my bitpower 3/8 5/8 1/8 wall fittings and few other bit's and piece's

Ok so here are some pic's of my blocks, rads and pumps with the new fittings:

I was disappointed that i couldn't fit these fittings on my fuzion cpu block or my ek 680i and nf4 rev 1.1 block :( well i can fit 1 lol

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc30/disruptfam/newpcpics024.jpg

(pictured all my blocks, pumps, rads mcr120,220 and 320) Still waiting on ek supreme, 680i mofset block part2 another ddc 3.2 w/top a few bp fittings and tygon r3400 black tubing :)

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc30/disruptfam/newpcpics037.jpg

As you can see the mirror finish i originally did is still ok ( just needs a couple more buff job's to get it back to what it was)

NEW UPDATE!!!!

Ok i'm back build is coming along slowly,Sorry for the lack of updates have been sick with the flu.

So i mounted all three rads and figuring out places for the pumps, res etc.i Decided to remove the bay res's and to go for either the micro res or ek 150,I'm leaning towards to the micro res atm due to smaller form factor.

Some pics!!

mcr120 mounted used the originally 120 fan bracket that came with case took out the dust filter and changed out the screws very easy mod

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc30/disruptfam/Adamsworklog048.jpg

mcr220 mounted (no fans mounted yet)

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc30/disruptfam/Adamsworklog051.jpg

topside (had to expand the original cut)

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc30/disruptfam/Adamsworklog055.jpg

Was originally going to use my ultra kaze on the mcr220 but they where thick (38mm) so i will have to switch out to a couple yate loon
This is the clearance i'm working with a standard 120mm fan.About 2mm clearance very close to the gfx card.Had to check because i will be running sli.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc30/disruptfam/Adamsworklog057.jpg

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc30/disruptfam/Adamsworklog058.jpg

mcr320 mounted.Just drilled the hole to mount it through the mesh giving it a few inches of clearance from the case floor(I'm still contemplating if should cut the hole in the bottom) I'm not sure if the mcr320 will be gathering hot case air.But most probably will make the cut

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc30/disruptfam/Adamsworklog064.jpg

I put in the mobo just to see how everything will fit

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc30/disruptfam/Adamsworklog068.jpg

case from the front

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc30/disruptfam/Adamsworklog065.jpg

case from the side ( i will be mounting three hd's above the mcr320) Look close you see where that will be.I will be making or buying a couple of pump brackets to mount directly the hd cage.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc30/disruptfam/Adamsworklog071.jpg

Couple of bling shots :) lol

If you read the other worklog, you will see it caused some deposits on the loop and gunked blocks. That's the problem with dyes and premade coolants so the best option is to use just distilled + pt nuke.

This is why he is rebuilding the computer with new black tubing and no dye at all. I think the bay reservoirs will be lit with leds instead.

Xilikon, I've read that one. But what I've found is just a supposition. One version was insufficient rad, and another was a gunk in waterblocks... I thought may be there are some pics after disassembling the loop...

Where did you get your fittings?
I just checked Performance PCs and they are selling the 1/2" one with G1/4 for $9.95 a PIECE!

Now, I don't really mind paying for good fittings.... But, I have lost count of how much I"ve spent on the "little things" In fact I just ordered a bunch of regular fittings.... UGH.... I "almost" wish I didn't start my dream buld... hehe:D

And, wondering if those fittings will work with the masterkleer 7/16s tubing. Think it's 5/8" or 3/4" don't remember off the top of my aging memory... heh

thanks...

Woohoo... another $300 spent, NOT including the new fittings I'll pick up ....

I seriously think I've spent over $1,000 on bits and pieces.... Not ANY hardware. Just tubing, fittings, tops, reseviors, lighting....etc!

UGH, will it ever end... Mooooohahahah NO it won't !!! hahahahaha

Yup, I've lost it!

Pics are awesome!

I'm bummed I didn't know about the EK SB block, I went DD, and had to Mod it to fit the GPU. Your's looks like it fits just fine.

Also, I can't remember where I saw it, but I've seen replacement brackets for the Double slot GPU, so they are only single slot. I hope you know what I'm referring to.

Ordered my Bitspower compression fittings today... 30 of them... Should be fun. I just finished up a few things with mine, and I think I'll start my build thread tomorrow morning.... I mean, this morning.... Decided on tri loop! yippee....

BP-Vincent

The design of our compressing fittings are based on G1/4", Swiftech is NPSM...for thread issue they are the same but for sealing, some of our fittings cannot be used directly......it's why we added ST Transfer Adapter for this issue.....Play water have fun but need to be more safe..

Xilikon

I think he's talking about the radiator barbs recess. He is right to doubt it can be screwed all the way in the recess without the ST transfer adapter. The recess is just barely large to accept the o-ring holder part of a D-Tek barb and those BitsPower is larger than this from what I see.

disruptfam
03-01-2008, 05:20 AM
damn...

Link to the transfer base?

hmm i think i may just use d-tek 3/8 barbs on the rads...

Xilikon
03-01-2008, 05:55 AM
If it's concealed, the D-Tek barbs is a great choice with the R-3400. It's very tight and I had a hard time removing ;)

You are right...
For our normal fittings, it's no problem but for compression one you may need to add ST Transfer Adapter..

Best thing you can make!No dye and shiny tubing! I know, what I am talking about. :) There was only one thing I used in my rig and that was Fluorescein. Got it from the Pharmacy. Red powder which reacts UV green in Water. This is much better and does not act as bad as all the dyes.

Well but the glow is gone after about 3-4 months and you must add new Water to get the same results again.

Shiny clear tubing is the best way to keep it clean and tidy. But be sure, that there are no rests of dye and dirt in the other components. :D

The picture quality is awesome, very nicely done on the work too.

For the Rad Grille, have you thought about using Allen Cap screws? They really would compliment your hardware setup, and go nicely with what you've accomplished so far. Not too expensive either.

I agree with the allen hex screws, they are awesome. It's a :banana::banana::banana::banana: to find tho but I'm sure your city will have a local fasteners distributor you could check. I found mine there and they have a infinite assortment and if they happen to not have a particular one, they can order it within 48 hours ;)

They are probably found in some industrial sectors.

do you really need all the fan grills? i think vapor said it once but those grills are actually quite restrictive

i dont use them anymore, just on externally mounted fans because of peoples curiosity lol

but its looking good so far, i like how the contrast in colors between case and parts very interesting to look at

yeah. anyway maybe it would be a good idea to also put rubber grommets when connecting the HDD cage to the case, or some kind of noise absorption pad in between (IF you get nose problems:D)

cant wait to see this beast finished:D

I would put a metal plate under your bottom HDD in the cage to stop it from being blasted with hot air from the rad, proabably not that good for it in the long run, just a thought.

what lens did you get with it?

i did, its in the homewrecker v2 thread  they were up yesterday

i ordered though amazon, the actually company name is 17th street photo
and i couldnt resist, price was too good $799 for the D60, AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR, and a AF-S DX VR Zoom-NIKKOR 55-200mm f/4-5.6G
plus 2 dvd for noobs

the lens alone total to $189.95 + $229.95 = $420 and
depending on where you shop the body is around $550+
so i say fair deal

I don't know, but wouldn't it been better if you made your own HDD-cage out of plexiglass or something? A friend of mine did that, and it turned out just great. :)

Just heat up the plexi carefully and bend it. It's a pretty simple operation. Would give your project a nice touch, at least I think that way. :)

But your build is amazing, awsome and things that better are. Amazing work mate! :D

Cheers! :)

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc30/disruptfam/v2000rev11.jpg

The symbol lasercut in the front.

The 1st slot in for the aquareo,The hole is the raptor X window and the 3rd slot is for the dvd drive

Disruptfam will be lasercut out aswell. In red so you are able to see it

here acrylic is nearer to my place, and i need to practice some dremel carving anyways...
i don't have anyone close with laser machine...

hmm.... asian characters look much better when done with a certain flow of calligraphy...

go to chinatown and find someone to write what you want... but with more flair... not the stock fonts you find in the web...

just my 2 cents...

dude... you're still not done?
well, i guess i should not talk... ha ha ha
