Wierd question :D Depends on what you think is loud.
I had a eheim 1250 before my DDC. My personal opinion is that the Eheim is quite a lot louder. The eheim also takes up much more space than the DDC, it vibrates more and it isn't really optimal for WC.
With my DCC 3.2 mounted on my harddrive bays I was worried about vibration.
Though with rubber washers that fear went away.

I used to have an Eheim 1250 before replacing it with a DDC-2. I elevated the pumps with vibration damping screws, so both pumps are not that noisy. However, I found the DDC-2 to be a little bit quieter, and it definitely takes up much less space than the Eheim.
Been offered a Eheim 1250 with a relay card pretty cheap and i was thinking of using it with a Reserator 1 Plus instead of a DDC as you rarely hear of an Eheim going wrong and it's not like you need massive Flow and Head for a Reserator but i've only heard the smaller 1046 and 1048 Eheims so i wan't sure if the 1250 would be to loud or drone too much for a fanless system.
(Before anybody slags of the Reserator i'm not intrested in performance or have a Aluminium issue as the blocks are Anodised and gold plated all i'm intrested in is quiet computing and i personally don't care if i have worse temps than air cooling as the temps are below Intels Max working temps)
:D :D :D
