View Full Version : Best Fans For PA120.3 vs. 2 MCR320

Assuming one does not care about noise, what are the best fans I can get for a 6 fan push/pull set up with a PA120.3? On the one I have now I use 3 Panflo(114cfm) on the pull side and 3 Scythe S-flex on the push side(don't remember cfms). I am buying another and want to get the right fans...
OR
I know this kind of question gets asked a lot but would 2 MCR320's cool better than one PA120.3? 2 of those is around the same price as one thermochill. If so, what fans would be best for the MCR320? Thanks.

I recommend Yate Loon DSH12 High Speed!!! I use them in a pul configuration and they work magic.

2 MCR320's would cool much better (well to a point) than a single PA120.3. If your loop isn't putting out enough heat and your close to ambient with a single PA120.3 you obviously don't have much to gain. In terms of cooling though, double the surface area is really hard to overcome.

My temps are not close to ambient. I want to push my cpu up to 4Ghz and right now at 3.6 with 1.4v I am around 61c at full load. I've heard you don't want to hit 65c with these quad cores so I wanted to increase the cooling potential.

maybe two mcrrs are better for cooling but the flow will be lower than 1 120.3
so only if you have a good pump than TWO mcr's are preffered

a 120.3 should be more than enough to cool your quad..Maybe swapping out your gt would help matters.

I have a quad AND 2 GTX's. What were you saying disruptfam? Are you saying to not get another rad or that I should get the PA?

you didn't specify what your were cooling..
I looked @ sig has 120.3 in there so i assumed you were just cooling your cpu.
i would go dual loops but having a tj09 my be difficult to achieve.
120.3 gtx's
120.2 cpu
single loop 2 mcr320's would outperform the p.a providing you have a good pump
