Asus did this about a year ago and have never bought an Asus product after the incident because I had an Asus video card and PunkBuster kick banned you if you had a video card made by Asus.

ECS products are piece of sh|t,
so they try to compete by cheating??
that is low, i am boycotting them.
i can't beleive Asus did something similar a while ago.
i wouldn't say their cards suck, so why'd they do it?
i cant beleive how cheap the whole idea is...

Attempting to make money for lame online gamers I would presume because they need or want the advantage.

You know, I am for giving users more options in the drivers. If people want to use them to cheat, that is up to them, its just a matter of valve using the VAC to ban all people with ECS video cards. *shrug* You know, its only about the most popular game out there, and it would really hurt them to lose the legitamate gamers. So IMHO, this petition is useless, as they'll do it anyways. Not signed.

I've read on [H] that ECS has nothing to do with the transparant tool

complaining to wrong company? :)

The "transparent drivers" is something built into the SIS Xabre drivers. It's not something ECS has added, they're just the only one releasing a Xabre card at the moment. What I've been told is that the drivers ECS released to several reviewers were internal beta drivers, and these beta drivers included the "transparency" feature. Something that was never intended for the public release. I believe ECS has already stated that they will remove all traces of them from their driver sets.

The petition is a worthwhile endeavor, but for a problem that already all but solved. :)
