Hi!

I'm a newbie and I want to go watercooling.

presently, here are my specs:
Intel QX6700 - which can really be hot
Asus Commando
Coolit Freezone - the reason why I'm going WC he3
Silverstone 750W
XFX 8800 GTX
2GB Corsair XMS2

can you please provide me a part by part list of the parts i need and the stores where I can find them?

I have read the threads and it confuses me even more as all of the parts seem to be very good.

I simply want to cool the CPU and the VC...

thanks in advance...

D-Tek Fuzion w/ nozzle kit
Thermochill PA120.3
Liang D5
EK 8800GTX FC block or Swiftech MCW-60 w/ RAMsinks
Swiftech Micro-Res

And try to buy all your stuff at petrastechshop.com (http://shoppts.com/), excellent customer service! (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=174800&highlight=petra)

No problem... you may need to fine tune it a bit (like a different res to fit your setup, etc.).

The res I outlined may not fit in your case, or you may like a different res better. You can switch it out, for say, a 5.25 bay res or the EK res. It's interchangeable, and won't affect performance at all.

And don't forget tubing. I recommend 7/16in. tubing over 1/2in. barbs.

not to sound like a douchbag, but is this considered advertising? and if it is, is that against the rules? sorry, i haven't figured everything out yet.

I like the D-Tek barbs, but many others like the EK ones. For the Thermochill PA120.3, you need the G3/8 threaded barbs (NOT to be confused with 3/8in. barbs for 3/8 tubing) for all the other components you need G1/4 threaded barbs.

Simply giving him a good place to start. I'll recommend Petra's to anyone who is new to water cooling. I've always had excellent experiences with Petra's.

Depending on your budget, Swiftech makes good radiators, and other parts.
I think you should look at the different solutions and see what fits your budget.

I give Petra

Lol don't worry :) He's only 13, he doesn't work at Petra's.... yet :D

No but seriously, Petra's is the best place for getting watercooling parts, IMO. :yepp:

wont work.

Ask people with this config. Ask Synxx and he'll even agree with the full cover statement.

Change the GPU block to a MCW60 or MAZE5 /w d-tek unisink. That should save you about 3-5C on the cpu side.
