Any suggestions on an outdoors / waterproof camera?

Currently I have a Canon S2 IS, but its basically a brick in size and not too portable.

I may be going on some white water rafting trips when it gets warmer, so I'm looking for something thats light, waterproof, and tough to break. Compact size is a huge plus and I'd like to be able to use it for indoor general occasions as well. mpeg4 recording would also be great to keep file sizes down, but not absolutely required.

Are there any cameras out there that fit my criteria?

none that I know of. Therea are some inexpensive waterproof cameras, but they are not good for regular photography. And they are not exactly small, especially if you consider the S2 IS a brick.
