Looking to get one of the premium Corsair Dominator packages

Interested in:

8888 4-4-4-12 @ 2.4V

9136 5-5-5-15 @ 2.1V

10000 5-5-5-15 @ 2.4V

Which is best performing kit to go for?

Which use best Micron chips?

Does the 9136 being only 2.1V currently have lots of headroom i.e just underclocked PC10000 set in reality?

As far as the binning goes, it's the 10k, 8888, then 9136 meaning that the 9136 won't pass our internal screen for 8888, the 8888 won't pass the internal screen for 10k, etc. But, they are all Micron D9. With a Quad, any of the 3 should be more than adequate.

How much of that ram are you going for? 'Cause for one 2x1Gb 10000 kit you can get as near as 4Gb's of 8500 Dominators..

Havnet seen the need to go 4GB yet so wanted to get some performence ram... but not going to DDR3 as way overpriced still!

Wouldnt ever intend to use 4x1GB, maby 2x2GB but corsair dont offer fast enough kit of this for my likeing... GET on it Yellowbeared!!

2 x 2Gb in 1066MHZ flavour 5-5-5-15 would be good with nice Dominator heatspreaders good enough market for em

Who.....me?

Hey systemviper, keep me up to date on those pelts. That sounds like an interesting set up. There is a guy I talked to a while back that was working on one of these:

Just bit the bullit and bought PC10000 Dominator KIT

So they are 1250Mhz 5-5-5-18 @ 2.4V

Should be able to tighten up 5-5-5-15 @ that voltage?

Whats max allowed (warrenty) Volts wise on these?

the PC10000 kit should easly allow backwards spec to PC8888 1142 4-4-4-12 @ 2.4V??

I've actually never tried tRAS at 15 at that speed but, it should do it. 2.4v is the max testing and warranted voltage. The 1250 is a higher screen and "should" do 1111 (1142 is PC9136 speed) at those timings but, there is no guarantee of course.

Any major changes in versions i.e lesser quality Micron chips etc?No, there aren't any other ICs we've found that will meet the screen.

Got sticks today, are damn sexy!!

Due to Q6600 400x9 (3600)

Mem divider gives me 1066mhz or 1203 Mhz or 1280Mhz option

Set Volt to 2.4V

and chose 1280mhz option and stable so far with prime 95 etc!

Eddie, sorry you had the module die on you. Unfortunately, at this time we can only do the RMA via Fremont, California USA. Have you contacted your reseller? Postage may be faster and cheaper if they can help.
