I am also very eagerly waiting for your rerun of this card with the latest drivers, as currently I want to buy this card, but the reviews so far have not been overwhelmingly positive.

My heart is with ATI, as I have had many frustrating experiences with Nvidia cards, but I will wait for your unbiased results before I commit - one way or another.

The other card I am looking at is the Nvidia 8800GTS 512Mb. I can water cool this card very easily.

Based on your new results, it may push me to get the 3870x2 card and go for a water cooling set up. (It will be a bit complicated with 2 GPUs as well as a heap of RAM & other semi conductors to cool with copper heat sinks. (Not cheap.)

When i make a shot with Fraps (v 2.3.9) mostly all of the pictures are just black.

Just download latest fraps, www.fraps.com and problems solved
Its funny that someone waits for CATs 8.2 when these are older then beta driver from 23.1.08 :)

all testes were already done with cat 8.2 , with cat 8.1 its only 3dmark 2006 (but the score its the same with both drivers) and Crysis ( with cat 8.2 less FPS playing but same FPS in benchmark )



all other games are already with cat 8.2 !


Btw: i made few tests today in COD 4 Multiplayer with Cat 8.47 RC3 (forced trough device manager and installed as HD3450)
