For you which of these two forms is best
1
Reservoir - Pump - CPU - Rad -Reservoir
2
Reservoir - Pump - Rad - CPU -Reservoir

I like choice one for more restrictive CPU blocks and 2 for everything else.
Number One for EK Supreme
Number One for Storm (why is anyone still using this)
Number One for Danger Den TDX
Number Two for D-Tek FuZion / Enzotech Sapphire
Number Two for Apogee GT/GTX
Did I miss any ?

Is he not asking what is better, pump before cpu, or radiator before cpu?
I've wondered this myself

In a closed loop, how much does it really matter? Wouldn't the flow coming out of the res be the same as the flow coming out of the pump? I can't see the difference in the temps being that much if any either.

I don't think loop order is really that important. The only thing that is really important is that your res is before your pump. I would just go with whatever order would allow the least amount of tubing. IMHO changing the order would probably result in a very small change in temp if any. So to me its not really worth it, I would much rather have a cleaner loop than a messy loop that is one degree cooler.

the pump infront of the rad will get rid of the heat dump from the pump, but thats a minor 5-15watts of heat dump so it wont change that much.

In a closed loop, the flowrate would be the same all across but the pressure will not be the same. That's why option 1 is good with restrictive cpu blocks because you are bringing the most pressure thru it.
