I am getting a watercooling custom made for about 420$. My question, what performance gain am i looking at? I'll overclock E6600 and a quad later. I use Tuniq right now OC'n to 3.4ghz with 34cidle/58C load.
Thermochill PA120.3 $140
AquaXtreme 50Z DC-12 $75
Apogee GTX with copper top: $80
15' of tubing $15
HiFLow Martinm210-made T-fitting $12
Delrin FilPort (for tee line) $12
Special Cable clamps for tubing 20 for $2
Two Bay reservoir for mounting in case $30
Shipping and so on: $20 in the US.
Non-conductive coolant: 38$

Ditch the non conductive coolant, other than that everything else looks good tho I prefer the D5 while others prefer the DDC to the 50z.

i'm kinda worried leaks may ruin my system which is why i asked for non conductive. Which is the best pump available? And wat performance increases am i looking at here?

afaik non conductive stuff is not non conductive as it claims lol

You won't get leaks if you fallow what we tell you.
Ditch the non-conductive, that stuff is bad. :shakes:
You'll get better temps without it.

The Laing D5 (http://www.petrastechshop.com/swmcin12pu.html) (aka MCP655) is the best pump around, unlest you want to pay an arm and a leg for an Iwaki pump (like $260).

And I'm serious about the non conductive fluid, don't get it.
There was a test made with that stuff, some guys poured it onto the main board of a power supply while it was on and it blew the PSU up.
It'll hurt your internal components more than regular coolant will.
Stay away from it.:yepp:

It doesn't stay non-conductive for long, and leaves a residue.

The MCP-355 with the Petra's top actually beats the MCP-655 by a little.

Yes, it does. It was even better where DDC2.2 was available. Now it's discontinued and only 3.2 is available which is worse a little. But the thing is that you can adjust the speed of the mcp655 instead of 355 where you can't. The other thing is that 655 even at 5th gear is quieter than 355.

So if your looking for color, blood red, blue, green, black, plus an anti freeze component what do you use?

What about compared to the pump i already have in my fisrt post? Ok the coolants gone. Now, my question which remains:
My Tuniq gives me 32C idle/58C Load at 3.4ghz on my e6600. Ambients of 17-22C. Spending about 420$ on all this LC equipment, what is my expected performance gain? How much cooler will my CPU be? Is it worth it? And secondly, should i add a gpu and chipset loop?

mcp655 or iwaki md20? Also dtek fuzion or swiftech apogee copper top?

\Seems from the reviews the Dtek Fuzion is holding the top spot....

Also the mcp655 would be my choice.

Best of luck with your system./

If you want to spend less money then get the MCP655, but the iwaki will outperform it.
Don't quot me on this, with your loop, you will get about 1.80GPM, but if you get the iwaki you will get around 2.25GPM'ish.

But I'd still go with the MCP655, it's a better bang for your buck.

Im goin for this pump: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...oducts_id=4505
Also ordered the Danger Den GTX block

everything'll be external. The radiator'll occupy the space on a table near my a/c with 24h blow. 16C!! Dont hav to pay any bills here in the univ dorms :) Cant wait to set it up and get some temps!
