I'm watercooling my 8800gts 640MB with a Fuzion-GFX. It is necessary to put RAMsinks on these chips? What are they anyway? Not the V-regs, they're next left to them in this picture right? Do they need cooling?
I tried to put sinks on the little chips, but some of them keeps falling off.

mosfets can generally take a good beating, but they shouldnt be left without a heatsink or a fan blowing over them.
these (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835108094) are specifically designed for the g80 mosfets

Don't forget to put a heatsink on the NVIO chip (the square on the left of the ram chips).

Well i equally have a 8800 GTS and i don´t have any heatsinks on them. Actually they ain´t getting hot as most people say cos i checked it out while stress testing my card with crysis. My card is overclocked and runs on 1.5v, so i don´t think they need heatsinks.

well, i dont have a gts, but on my 88gt those get almost burning hot. thats saying something considering i have calused fingertips from touching metal that ends up getting around 160-170F at work. anyway, i put heatsinks on them and the back of the card runs alot cooler.

ps: i think the heat that eminated from those tiny things killed my sysram (didnt have proper cooling for 2 weeks). it was pretty bad, two sticks barely work now

my 8800gt also eminates huge amount of heat from some of those smaller chips.

I stuck a little ramsink on this one...

And it ended up melting the thermal sticky pad to it so I know there was some wicked heat coming of of it...
