Im getting ready to attempt my first volt mod(s) and just got a multimeter from microcenter. There doesnt appear to be any place for a battery though, and the instructions dont explain anything. Does it power the LCD by the voltage passing through it?

Thanks for any responses.

No, there is a place for a battery somewhere. Usualy on the back with a screw to hold it in place. Most use a 9v bat.

Mine has a leg that lets it stand at an angle and my bat compartment is under it. Look hard enough and you will find it.

My mutimeter has I think 2 screws that I can take out from the back side and then I can pop the case open, and replace the battery. Mine also takes one 9v.

YOu might have the same as mine. There are 2 screws on the back, so i guess that is where they go, it just didnt look like a battery compartment, atleast that im familiar with. Thanks for the quick responses.
