Looks awesome! The car looks alot like a Volvo imo, atleast the front end. Post some pics/vids when you get in on the track ;)

Sweet ! I've got a soft spot in my heart for the Mopar turbos.
My first car was a Mopar turbo ('86 Shelby Charger) and then I got to fulfill a dream by working at Chrysler doing engine development for the 2.4 Turbo ! That was for the Mexican-market Stratus that predated the US 2.4 Turbos.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

I really wish they would have made the Stratus R/T's here, mexican turbo version of course. But there are a few guys that have swaped/built them similar to mine.

Nice car, I really like the 80s mopar turbo car projects. I'm sure you've seen donovan's 14s Caravan and 10s Reliant? (without nitrous) :)

OH yep thats what got me started watching a Reliant whoop a yellow supra, I actually talked w/ Gary Donovan a little and bought the front and rear brake parts and other things from him.

That 2nd generation Mexican turbo (the one I worked on, ironically the guy I bought my first shifter kart from worked on the 1st generation!) was a fun little ride, our design target was 200hp and 220ft-lb AT 7000 FT ! We went on a road trip from Phoenix to Denver through all the mountains and whatnot and it wasn't until my boss borrowed my car (and put me into a manual trans PT Cruiser) that I remembered you lose power at altitude ! All of a sudden I was having to shift like crazy, I really had been able to completely ignore the altitude effects on driveability. When I left the wastegate was blowing open at high speed at altitude limiting hp at 7000' to about 190. I can't say if that was remedied or not.

The joke at the time was that Daimler bought Chrysler so they could give away the Stratus with every S class because around Mexico City, sure enough, if you saw an S Class, or a BMW 7 series, there was ALWAYS a dark Stratus or two nearby ! Good cars for the bodyguards...

If you put a Volvo 850 Badge on the back, 90% of people wouldnt be able to tell the difference :D

Digging the digidash too....love those things, i want to pinch one off a GT Limited for mine ;)
