i have a few questions about this board

1) is the stock cooler all coper were the water touches

2) is it applied with adhesive like the maximus and se

3) when going for a modular cooling system would it be worth cooling anything other than the NB with liquid and what do u cool the SB and pci-e controller with

edit-- i had an idea of using the enzotec sb cooler and a DD block for the sb/pci-e controller since the enzo mounts low and the DD universal block mounts high

I believe that none of the cooler is copper..except the center and pipes..

Yes, actually quite a good cooler.

2) is it applied with adhesive like the maximus and se

Yes, remove prior to first boot.

3) when going for a modular cooling system would it be worth cooling anything other than the NB with liquid and what do u cool the SB and pci-e controller with

good luck on the SB, going to need a large low profile cooler. The top 2 PCiE have the graphics card coveing that block.

You might want to review this thread (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=167434). EK is working on new water blocks for this board.

Well, yes and no.

Here are 3 x 3870's (not X2's).

It works just fine.

However, the X2 only has one Crossfire interconnect on the top, so you can't hook more than 2 up.

If I hadn't just bought 3 3870's a few months ago, I would have gone with the 2 x 3870 X2's and EK 3870 X2 blocks..

It's still effectively 4 x Crossfire, with 2 cards.

My eventual plan would be to replace two of the 3870's with X2's, and use the third 3870 as a Physics card - once ATI supports that.
