I have the Arctic Cooling MX-2 and according to the instructions on their site you should put a blob in the middle of the IHS, then install the cooler and twist it from side to side.
However, the twisting part is kinda hard with a cooler bolted in place like the D-Tek, so what do people usually do when they have such coolers?
Do you just put a thin layer over the IHS using a creditcard or use some other method?

The CPU is an Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650.
