Still got some parts on order from Petra's. Should hopefully be done buy the end of the week. Need to order my EVGA 8800GT from NG, and need to find a place that still has EK blocks for sale. Don't worry about the bottom, I'll probably get a grill for the rad, but haven't decided on which one yet.

Thanks, and duh :p: Last I check frozencpu.com still not 1 in stock, but that was last week.

Edit: Frozen is out. So is Jab-Tech. Performance PC's has them listed, but doesn't mention anything about quantity. I'll call them Monday (if open) and see what they have.

Good luck on your hunt!

That block probably is in pritty high demand.

Great! We don't get many with your case.
Heaps of V2000, of course.
This is one I'll watch with interest. Like the internal paint work.
Got a few cables to stash, using the TX-750. Still, you have the room to do it.

Thanks. I already scratched it in a few places :( Good thing you can't see them. The problem is when I was trying to fit my Danger Den res., the bay covers have to fit around whatever you have in the bay, which in my case, the res + bay cover doesn't fit, not even close. So, I either have to shave down the res to fit, or find a new one. Thats what caused the scratches.

I actually haven't bought it yet. I have an Antec Neopower 550w with mod. cables, I'm hoping this PSU will cover everything.

That's the clearence issue disruptfam ran into with bay res and his V2000. He chose to leave the front open and rely on colour and light for aesthetic appeal.
You can cut down a spare cover or mesh and glue or velcro it to the bay res, if you want it covered. Spare covers aren't very costly from PerfPC or some of the others.
Might be lucky? Haven't had two of those gpu to know what the minimum is. Currently using a HX-620 cause my V-Twin is tight on the psu but doubt it'd handle a second gpu card.

You think I would be ok not running a res? Although, I really only need another millimeter or so on each side to fit the res. with the bay cover. I may just start shaving it some more.

As you can see, I don't.
Took a little attention to bleeding but I would've done that anyway. Both loops were bled completely by 24 hours.

Alright. Haven't updated in awhile, as I've been busy getting parts together and also been busy with school and work.

As of the time of this post:
-I finished mounting the EK waterblock. Sits nice and flows pretty good. However I am getting alot of vortexing in the outlet tube; Its gone away, but thats mainly just because there isn't any air in the system, so I don't know if the vortexing has stopped or not.
-Along with the Foxconn, I got the WD 150GB raptor in as well.
-Vista didn't like my Pioneer SATA drive, as it told me to suck balls and didn't want to use the drive. So, what did I do? Tried an ATA drive. Well then my computer tells me theres no disk. Great. So, I grab my XP disk, put it into the SATA drive, works great. How wonderful. Side note, Vista Ultimate I have is an upgrade, so I'll just run that after I get XP installed.
-Also, for some reason XP decided to run insane slow when formatting the Raptor. I don't know why, its a fast drive, its a fast dvd drive, its only 150GB.
-I also have a set of GSKill PC8000 2x2GB coming tomorrow. Had newegg overnight it, and for how much it was off retail, i'm still saving money.

So, thats where I stand. I'll have pictures up, uhm...sometime this week. I've taken alot since the last pictures I posted. So hopefully I'll be able to grace XS with a working WC build.

dammit... good idea for taping and spray painting the insides...

the thought of removing the rivets and re-rivetting... was not the most sound concept at the moment so i stuck with silver...

very nice!

I thought about popping the rivets too, and my dad does have the gun for setting new ones, but I didn't feel like taking the time.

congrats on the build only question why the "T" 's on both sides of the pump, note they kill flow and the elbows.

I know they kill flow, but this was the only way I could have both fill and drain ports hooked up.

What kind of paint and what color did you use? Did you put primer on it first? I would like to do the inside of my case, but have been worried about it looking cheap. Your case looks professional.

BrokeDown

I did a little prep by wiping down the whole inside with cleaner and a scotch pad. The primed 1 coat, and then painted flat black with roughly 2 coats.

Did you use a heat resistant paint or just some multipurpose paint like Krylon spray paint? They have so many different kinds of paints, but I know you can get paint that is resistant to a heat up to a certain amount. I am not sure a computer gets hot enough to warrant that type of paint.

Usually its just straight 3 dollar spraypaint. Works wonders.

aspire you are from the same place the ice man chuck liddell is from. I just had to point that out as he is one my favorite mma fighters. My son really likes him because of his hair.

Wow...can't believe its been this long since I've been running water. Doesn't seem like it.

Haven't flushed or cleaned my loop since I put everything together back in Febuary. Recently the hoses have been turning a nasty green, and after getting some helpful words from other members I made a quick trip to MicroCenter and picked up some new hose. I'll also be ordering some PT Nuke in the next few days.

Things to do tonight:
-Replace all hoses, redo all zipties, flush system
-Make sure the Danger Den 260 block isn't really leaking
-Format the Raptor and install Vista HP 64-bit
-Format Samsung F1 1TB
-Clean the inside up and monitor a few hours for any leaks.

Hopefully I'll be able to post up some pictures in the early morning. Also going to download the lastest 3DMark so I can see where I stand over the 8800GT.

Thanks.

I got the computer up and running tonight. As I type I am waiting for 931GB to format....30%....I have a long night.

Had some issues with the PrimoFLEX 1/2" tubing I bought. 3 clamped ends didn't want to seal, and started leaking. Actually watching over the 3rd one to make sure it's ok. I stuck an extra clamp on 2 of the 3 ends that were leaking, and they seem to be doing ok so far....or not...one is leaking again...:(

Anyway, Vista HP 64-bit is flying right now, and the Raptor seems to be doing ok so far. The first time I used it the drive didn't like being used I guess, and basically quit. Not sure what the deal was. That was awhile ago.

Also, almost finished with 3DMark download, and I'll get some tests up in the morning along with some pictures.
