Are you referring to designing a shopping cart for online purchasing and transacting?

If you are building a shopping cart from the ground-up programming with ASP, for example, it is time consuming and can be a challenge. The main concerns and focus lies on testing, debugging and implementing all back-end admin features that will ensure transactions are secure. You can't afford to overlook anything and go online with an e-store that has not been thoroughly tested with all case scenarios, because its your ass on the line as the programmer who designed it.

I would say double that to $20,000 and you'd have a start
even if your developer used RAD framework like cakephp or symfony, or asp.net to create it, those guys aren't cheap, the good ones aren't anyway

:D That price is completely justifiable. An undertaking like that is labour intensive, and the amount of testing and debugging a programmer has to do.. 20K for a well designed secure cart, as opposed to getting your ass sued by clients if there are any security breaches etc etc.. see my point? Do it right first time and save yourself the hassle later lol :D

I was simply giving you the cost justification facts from a programmer's point of view. Too many clients want a seeimingly simple application to be designed without the consideration as to the time, labour and skill involved in designing it, and in the case of a cart, the associated security features and risks.

Oh, and one more thing, i am not a "bro".. not the last time i checked anyways lol.. :D
