where would you buy a piece of silver for milling waterblocks? it seems to be easier to mill than copper, has marginally higher thermal conductivity and it serves as a natural biocide! also, how much would that thing costs? a 5*5*1 cm piece of silver seems expensive lol.

It's per ounce... Look at the bottom for a good sized bar to mill. You need to not waste any silver shavings :rofl:

Wow talk about being very very carefull when cleaning up. Silver is a great conductor but given the price and not as hard as copper, I would think copper is a better choice unless you have a ton of money to blow.

The more pure the silver the better - both Cather and Danger Den used 99.995% pure silver for their blocks.

@eddie3dfx: i thought that online metals didn't carry silver. last time i checked, only brass, copper, aluminum, stainless steel and carbon fiber was there.

@coolmeister: do u think that i can ask dangerden if they would sell any silver for wb purposes under the metal section?
