Simple question, how much Hydrx do I use.

I got no instructions when I got the bottle, and the label on the bottle doesnt really specify how much to use.

My loop used approximately I little more than 1/4 of a gallon.

Thanks.

Loop consists of PA120.3, Dtek Fuzion with nozzle, EK Mosfet Cooler, EK northbridge cooler, and Swifttech Micro res.

Also quick question, which nozzle was I supposed to use, I used the one with the smallest hole, I have a Core 2 Duo E6400.

1 bottle of Hydrx per liter of distilled water.

Is the Hydrx stuff any good?

A gallon is 128 ounces,
3.8 liters in a gallon
1 liter is about 34 ounces

So one 4oz bottle per liter is 4/38 or about 11% concentration per the instructions.

Doesn't have to be exact, I would just try to keep it somewhere between 11 to 5%.

I've used it for nearly a year without problems. It's very UV reactive too, all I do is add a couple of drop of PTnuke for a little extra biocide.

Have you had any problems with foam or anything using Hydrx?
I may use it for my build...

Not with mine. I did have some crud come out of my MCR320's though.

Hydrx is really nothing more than ethelene glycol with UV addatives, so any foaming would be coming from something else.

Not uncommon to have crud come out of radiators though, clean them first if you don't want that.

Hydrx is good, most people just get tired of green and want different colors, but it works well and cheap too.

Yes, I've have problems with foam with Hydrx, but after a while it goes away. A lot of people have been complaining about "goo" with Hydrx, but I have yet to see any.

Can anyone answer my nozzle question. I used the entire bottle, and it looks great.

Use the 4.5 or 5.5mm.

So I shouldnt use the smallest nozzle. Damm, is 5.5 the biggest one?

All depends. If you have a CPU only loop, I suggest using the smallest nozzle, that is if you have a good pump (D5, DDC, Iwaki etc.). If you have a multi block loop, use either the 4.5 or 5.5.

Okie dokie, I think I'll order some Hydrix with some pt nuke. And before I put everything together I'll clean out the MCR320.
Thanks guys!

You won't need PT Nuke with Hydrx. Hydrx and distilled water is all you need.

My other option is to use some of that blue g11, I haven't completely decided on the coolant color I want :p:

hydrx will cause slimy build up on the tubing. U wont notice it until u drain the loop and see slime all over. I would stick to pentosin.
