what you need is a better cpu cooler mate...

I think, that bus 400 says nothing about the efficience of the ability of 780i to overclock quad core CPU. Lower the multi and rise the FSB towards 500, then this will be good. Cause the DFI P35 can do 475. And if 780 can beat this, it's good.

he has a zalman 9700 in his sig. If he's not using that for his "air" testing then what is he using?

Why does everybody think a new mobo is able to push the CPU's further then where we are at now ? most Yorkfields have a lower or similar FSB limit then the older kentsfields... most top out at 460-480 with normal (air/water) cooling. Today we are more CPU limited in regards of FSB wall then mobo limited...

Bu tot be honest I'm really not impressed with that performance ( CPU looks good though ), SuperPI is way slow (I know it's an Nvidia chipset), 3dmark with 8800GTX in SLI is really bad (Bad Vista support ?) What frequency is ya ram running at ? somehting is a not okay here...

I score 69K with a single GTX and a Q6600 at 4ghz, SuperPI is around 13min mark on an Intel P35... that's under WinXP Pro 64 though...

That 32M Spi time seems slow for 4 GHz....
Maybe that's a 780i + Vista effect?

Your 3dmark01 score is lower then mine (setup in my sig) by around 16000 points  Tweak better mate. You have kickass parts but you can't just leave them untweaked.

06 is useless for me (dual core). My 06 GFX scores (single GTX) are SM2.0 - 6231 ; HDR - 6559.

Either way, you should be getting over the 20k with your setup in 06 IMO.

EDIT: nevermind... just noticed that you are on Vista :D

nice cpu temps/ you will need to bump up the vcore to get higher cpu speeds. With those temps I see you should have some room to go up a bit more.

It´s on Vista, i get 56000K with my GTX@OC and 4GHz on CPU so SLi is not working in 3Dmark01 with Vista.

Not working?

I think it requires a bit more investegation and tweaking, i don't see how sli would work in games but not in 3d mark.

It does work in 03 so why not in 01?

Donīt know, but in this case it is not working since i get higher scores with only one GTX.
But my post was just a response on the question on low scores in 01

Well something is a miss as with 4ghz and one GTX (650/1612/2000) I get 66K under XP, don't think Vista robs ya 10K, there must be more to look for...

That only goes to show how hard Vista stinks for benching.

I think when we can get Vista well tweaked the difference with XP will be much less.
