I'm thinking about suspending my pump so that the inlet faces upward. Would there be any problem with doing this? The thing I'm mostly worried about is the impeller. Otherwise it'll definitely quiet my pump up alot.

Aren't pumps fine as long as the inlet isn't facing downwards?

(and lynching an Iwaki is a crime :p: )

ummmm wanna see your case do the moon walk? :ROTF:

The thing has a lot of vibration. Also its heavy as hell, if the steel isnt thick it may bend it.

Incase you didnt see my picture of the pump...

Im actually talking about the md20rt, which is way bigger then both rd pumps :D I do have room in my ufo though where the hdd bay is suppose to be. Otherwise itll be sitting on the floor of my case where the psu is suppose to be.

mmmmm best thing to do is see how much vibration that pump generates when on.

Then see if you can compensate for it using rubber gromets for shock absorbing.

But like someone said, you can mount a pump anywhere as long as the inlet isnt point down.
