I've run into a problem getting a power supply to run 2 8800 GTX with my dual water cooling loops.

I currently have the Silencer 750W PC Power&Cooling PS but it doesn't have enough power.

Equipment:

Intel G0 Q6600
evga 780i motherboard
2 x nvidia 8800 GTX
2 x 1GB Mushkin 8500 DDR2
2 x Swiftech 655 pumps
8 x 120mm fans (push pull, 2 radiators)
2 x WD Raptors in Raid

I prefer not to have multi-rail low current.

So I need some expert help. I've heard that the 1200W PC Power & cooling wasn't all it was hyped to be. What power supply is best?

Thanks,

-Malt

Seasonics have low noise and a single 12V rail.
Don't know about their higher-power models, though, but I like my old S-12.

antec truepower 850 watt or 1000 watt should work fine with dual 8800 gtx's and all those requirements you listed. Has 4 12v rails and they all work GREAT for what you need (personal expirence) has some 6+2 pins aswell if you have anything that needs it or you can use for a future gpu...also its modular so you can use the cables u need and not the junk you dont :D

850 watt is about 230-260 u.s. dollars depending where you shop around....i got mine on sale for 137.99 but it was a 2 hour sale...the 1000 watt one is 300+ dollars...good LUCK :D

You could purchase a small auxilliary power supply that could power HDD, fans, and pumps to relieve the 750 watt one. Something like the Ultra Power Partner or Thermaltake Purepower express.

PC Power and Cooling PSU's are the best! Something like their 750 or 1000W models would be ideal.

Actually if you open them up they have 2 ;)

Based off nearly the same units as the Coolermaster Realpower Pro 850/1000/1250 series.. Antec 850's a bit weak but 1KW is nice... and decently priced, too. Paid $229 for my 1KW ;)

Your PC P&C should not be having problems with that system.

Describe the issues youre having.

PCP&C 1200W is over-hyped ? Are you sure ? Its about the best there is. Expensive, but can you find a 1200W PSU that is cheap ?

I have the same power supply and I've run dual GTX cards on it when my friend was out of town for a few weeks and I borrowed his cards. We have 60 amps on our 12V rail so the problem is most definitely not your power supply.
